We had first had pleasure of meeting Mal down in Camberwell a year back through our fellow ec2a pirate, Mr Ollie Rant!  Since then it's been hard to ignore the absolute POWER moves Mal has been making, absolutely shelling it down with no signs of slowing down! Rotterdam based producer, DJ Crisps takes the reigns on the latest addition to the Pick ’n’ Mix series and we couldn’t be happier to have him!

DJ Crisps has been a serious bit of hot property the last 12 months with a shedload of big releases, including a series of EPs on Time is Now, as well as releases on Riz La Teef’s South London Pressings, ec2a and Breaks ’N’ Pieces to name a few. 

The mix itself encapsulates everything great about the current UKG scene; seamlessly blending the new wave of garage with some old skool bangers, creating a melting pot of 
warped basslines, big 2-step rhythms and soulful vocals. Featuring tracks from the likes of Stones taro, DJ perception, Pepe Elle and more.

This week it is our absolute pleasure to welcome Granite onto the GAB guest mix series! There’s no doubt that in the past we have often flung around the word “eclectic.” However, Granite’s 90 minute whirlwind through UK funky, jersey club, dubstep, grime, drill, breaks, UKG, electro and jungle has redefined this word for us. 

As a resident on Subtle, Granite has supported a range of DJs and producers emerging from Leeds and further afield. Also, through Revinyl Sessions, Granite has found a way to push vinyl culture in Leeds while raising money for charity. Don’t sleep on this one it’s a serious journey!
