Tired Eyes

The Good Luck Foundation is a passionate Indie Rock band From Burlington Ontario. The Band was formed by singer songwriter Brad Gardner in 2008. 

Originally a solo project, Brad began recording his debut album in Montreal, Canada at Studio Mix Art and the legendary RCA Victor studios. Montreal was the chosen destination due to Brad hiring George Donoso (The Dears, The High Dials, Sam Roberts) on drums.


On the Debut album all guitars, keys and vocals were done by Brad with additional help from his friends Adam Michael (St Alvia Cartel) on additional guitar, Simon Livingston (The Next Best Thing) on bass and additional bass guitar from Co producer and Engineer Steve Skingley (Rik Emmit).

The end result was an incredibly heartfelt and honest album from Brad and this very talented group of musicians. The Debut Album from The Good Luck Foundation was released in November 2009. 

When the time had come to play the songs live Brad hand picked a group of musicians to help support Brads recording efforts and bring them to life on the live stage. 

That line up included Andrew Joseph on Drums, Adam Michael on guitar and keyboards, Doug Miles on bass guitar and Brad on lead guitar and vocals. The Good Luck Foundation played their first live show at The Casbah in Hamilton, Ontario on December 9th 2009.

Through two years of rehersals and live shows to follow at clubs such as The Horseshoe Tavern, The Casbah and Mod Club theater Brad began to write more material. He and the Band began working on the 2nd album In July 2011 recording Phase One studios in Toronto and ultimately at the very trendy Dream house studios in Toronto. 

With recording underway there were still a few speed bumps along the way. With life's responsibilites and obligations to other projects Doug and Adam were no longer in the Band.

Without skipping a beat Brad's cousin Jay Bruce took Adam's place on guitar. And incredibly talented multi instrumentalist Michael Zane took over for Doug Miles on Bass Guitar. 

It was then that the rapport within the band had really taken a shape of it's own and this was no longer a solo project, this was a band. 

With a vision of harnessing their blistering live energy as a band on this recording the band recorded the album primarily  live off the floor with all additional overdubs done as full takes with no punch in's.

After 16 months of work, some changes in the line up and a new sound for the band, the follow up album Titled "Oceans Apart" is set to be released in sthe pring of 2013.
