🌟 **Unveiling Divine Messengers: Christmas Encounters** 🌟

In this heartwarming Christmas service, our Senior Pastor, Revd Dr Femi Paul took us on a journey through the book of Luke and Matthew, revealing the profound encounters with angels, messengers of the Most High God, who heralded the birth of our Savior. The key scriptures that illuminated his message were Luke 1:11-15a, 18-19, Luke 1:26-37, Luke 2:8-14, and Matt 1:18-24 (NIV).

Through these accounts, Pastor Femi unveiled the power of these celestial beings, who proclaimed their presence with the comforting words, *"Do not be afraid."* Just as the angel assured Zechariah, *"Your prayer has been heard,"* Pastor Femi emphasized the fulfillment of promises through divine messengers.

In Verse 18 Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.” The angel answered, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this Good News.

Fast forward to Six months after, the Angel Gabriel this time visiting Mary proclaimed the good news to her as follows: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.  Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 
For nothing is impossible with God.”

As we reflect on these angelic visitations, may we find comfort in the promises of God and embrace the joy and delight that the Good News brings. Let Acts 12:11 resonate in our hearts, knowing that the Lord sends His angels to us, guiding and rescuing us from the unexpected.

With fervor and conviction, our Senior Pastor charged the congregation: "If today you decide to make a new start, then God, your God, will make you enjoy an all-around good life!"

As a church we joined in prayer:

**So that you can grant me a great 2024!**

**Lord, as this year ends, I make up my mind to start listening obediently to your Word.**  

**Help me, Holy Spirit, to remain attentive and obedient to the Word of God and the will of God throughout 2024.**

**Father, as I listen to you obediently, make things go well for me at work and at home, financially and materially, spiritually and physically. In Jesus' name, I pray!**
