Drum & Bass Network Radio " D&B Politics DJ Comp Entry - Grandmaster Tilt - GMT - 7.5.2020

I loaded up my favorite time piece shooter, Bioshock Infinite, and the start screen song was hitting closer to home than usual. All of a sudden, the music, the lyrics, her voice, record crackles... Everything gave me a new perspective on something I was going through. I was struck in the feels and mixed that with my creativity and took it to the turntables to process.

This remix was my first step in bouncing back and realizing I'm never alone. Especially since Jessy Carolina recorded this back in 1918. 102 years ago. Then I realized that everyone goes through these things that make them feel isolated and I was lucky enough to find my own solace when I lost my best friend. I hope this brings someone somewhere a sense of comfort and/or connectivity like it brought me.
