A Way To Scream

Devotions lonesome, I’ve drowned in cold dark oceans,
I tried to fight the waves, but the shorelines disappeared and abandoned me,
I’m floating in the moonlight avoiding all the searchlights,
I’m waiting for tides to rise while a storm surge damn near tried to murder me.

I’ve been searching for a way to scream,
I don’t care about getting paid,
I fell for spells that the media made,
Been pissing my life away,
My self did hide while my ego played,
Destructive and selfish games,
Now I’m just tired of feeling expired.

Golden handshakes don’t lead to diamond landscapes,
The coal must change itself, It needs to feel the weight surrounding it,
That pressure turns to earthquakes, tsunamis rise, the ground shakes, 
And oceans turn to steam, while I find my way to scream.

Been journeying over the years it seems, 
I lost track of the fucking days, 
I fell for spells that the media made,
Been pissing my life away,
I lived with thieves and the games they play,
I burned a thousand days,
No wonder I’m tired of feeling expired.
