They're getting the new bridge built 0n time andf before you know it they will be tearing the old tappan zee bridge down.  This is just a nod to that bridge.   I'm amazed that I outlived the bridge.

I just wanted to play something loud so I created a drum and bass track and from there it sort of took off.  I used Blackie (Ibanez) on lead.

TAKEDOWN

A few years back an old friend gave me some drum loops on a CD and I didn't know what to do with them but quickly went about experimenting with them.  The result was the creation of hundreds of different compositions all with one thing in common; using set drum loops forces one to work within those confines.  What I attempt along the way is to find a place in between the rain drops ... the inner spaces of time.

A Miner's Tale

A MINER'S TALE

I wanted to write a country song - I think it's a first.  This would not be called country where I come from (Texas) but these days anything with a beat that isn't hip hoppin I guess qualifies for country.  It's also my first attempt at working with EZ Drummer ... and folks, it's not that easy.  No doubt I'm doing it all wrong but it's still easier than finding a real drummer.  A hint to all you drummers out there - get a groove room wired for recording .. set up some decent mics, tune your room and start putting drum tracks on songs.  We are willing to pay you something for your trouble - there's money in a DAW if you're a drummer or a great bass player with a good audio interface.  My thanks to "JA" for the drum lesson!

YOU BEEN ON MY MIND

Started on piano around age 5 but by 11 I had moved onto a trumpet and by 12 I was looking for a guitar.  I suppose I've had ha;;f a dozen lessons.  Songs come to me rather quickly when they do come.  Because I work in a vacuum I tend to get caught in the same basic patterns - over the years I've had some decent collaborations but they are not represented here.
