Come Together

Groove-drones and jangle freakouts. 12 strings and 60s organs. Jiving rhythms and gazey fuzz-tones. The Grease Arrestor are the Sydney 5 piece dedicated to bringing you the very best of sounds you know and L.O.V.E.

The group’s second album, Volume Two is described as a pastiche of different ideas and influences, including the 60s golden era and elements of 90s movements, blended with their signature drone and fuzz groove combination. Their hit single, “Come Together” is an all encompassing conglomeration of these different sounds and stands out as their rave-up anthem for the album. It’s basically a non-stop psychotic freak-out!

The Grease Arrestor’s first full release, What Was, Is (Jan 2014) was a symbolic sign off on some of their earliest material and uncovered a glimpse of their sonic palette. On Volume Two, they’ve delved much deeper into those themes and have finessed new recording and production techniques. The use of tape saturation, various forms of analog and digital reverberation and pre-amp coloration are inherent throughout the album. The group believe in utilising their own unique production methods as an instrumental tool. They’ve stayed true to their DIY ethos and handle everything from writing, recording and producing their music, to designing their artwork.
