the ground- A high energy hard rock band based in Seattle. Starting in 2013 with members who share history, some of that going back 20+ years.  The sound can smooth & richly textured, but it's mostly hard, dirty and driving. After three+ years, multiple recordings, and a bunch of shows, this group has put together a solid catalog featuring compelling stories and a musical style that uses and abuses elements of mountain music, DC punk, rock (of course), dusty Texas twang as well as the freaky fuzz of the great northwest. You'll hear chunks of all those styles in the ground, but just when it feels familiar, it will change right under your feet. The ground sound like well-seasoned rockers who landed in the punk rock Chevette on the way to the mini-mart for more beer. the ground has one full length record, a pummeling EP and more hooks than a fishing derby run by right-handed boxers. Come see our ferocious live set that will drop your jaw to the ground (puns and lower case intended) - don't be a-scaret...
