David Pumpkins is quite the strange specimen. Once the experiment started, he seemed to be in absolutely no pain and continued dancing like it were any other day. Come to think of it, he didn’t even begin showing signs of the experiment starting. His two henchmen didn’t have much to show initially either, but they came around eventually. They too initially danced, but around 15 minutes into the experiment, they both completely froze up and collapsed to the floor.

It didn’t take long for the two skeletons to be devoured by the noise, all it had to chew on were some feeble bones. They were completely gone within 5 minutes of collapsing. Despite his two buddies completely succumbing to the noise, Pumpkins remained entirely unaffected by it.

I don’t know how, but… he remained dancing in there for the rest of the night. Perhaps it was some kind of magic pumpkin spell. Perhaps he was simply too stupid for the noise to find him appetizing. Not that it matters anyways, since by the next sunrise he finally began showing signs of the noise getting to him. He remained dancing even then, but it was visibly taking a toll on him and his entire body was shivering.

Even when the noise completely consumed him he was still attempting to dance. I will never understand that man. Now that I think of it, maybe that’s what took the noise so long. It wasn’t due to his stupidity or some magic pumpkin spell, it’s because the noise wanted to break his will. It wanted to get him to stop dancing. But he didn’t. God bless your soul, Mr. Pumpkins.
