NuGaze

These four little pieces were created for my dad, my grandma and my uncle, who all died unexpected.

Two years before the pandemic got to started, my uncle died unexpected under a heart attack being alone in his apartment in Dresden. One year later his mom (my grandmother) died as well, not getting over loosing her son. Meanwhile my dad faced a throat cancer and got treated successfully. Still he was diabetic and they had found a liver cirrhosis that took a lot of strength on him, having to face depression and rehab after all the treatments he got for his cancer therapy. The pandemic started and we wanted to celebrate the first Christmas together in years, not knowing that the virus would take so many lives. The fact he was so weak meant he was on high risk getting covid and he got it and died two weeks after Christmas in 2021. 

This music is written for the three of them. They will always remain in my heart and i will always miss and love them forever. Life is just so vulnerable and precious and fragile. We tend to forget in our busy ways of living.
