Prairie Dogs is a warning, an instruction, a scream for hope. It holds its breath through clashing chords and bursts through questioning what’s coming next.
The Holy Orders were approached a few years ago by fan and up and coming producer/engineer Nick Russell who asked if he could record them for an assessment. The band agreed and went into the studio with him to record a germ of an idea.  They were so happy with the results that when the germ evolved into Prairie Dogs, The Holy Orders got back in touch with Nick and asked him to complete the recording of the single.

The Holy Orders announce the release of their brand new single, the 3 minute feel good summer pop song: The New Asbestos.  Well, a cynical, pessimistic, feel good summer pop song but anyone who is already familiar with last year’s debut album – For the Ears of Dogs to Come – will expect nothing less.  It captures how the band effortlessly combines catchy melody lines with visceral guitars and passionate vocals to create a glorious noise.

Coal Shed Records are pleased to announce the release of BBC Introducing Ones To Watch for 2013, The Holy Orders’ debut album. 
Recorded mainly to tape with the band gathered in the same room, For the Ears of Dogs to Come captures the edgy intensity and energy of the band’s amazing live shows. The album features the debut single Paper/Scissors/Stone which has already gained praise and play from BBC 6music’s Tom Robinson who has called them “One of the fabbest bands not only in Hull but in the country.”

They will be in session on Tom Robinson's 6music show on 13th July.

The Holy Orders were first told that their amps were too loud in 2006.  Along  the way they have caught the attention of Punk legend  and journalist  John Robb  who highlights their “interesting, ambitious songs…(&)…intriguing lyrics”.  Meanwhile, cult hero Josh T. Pearson and Mute Records recording artist simply quips they’re the "best thing out of Hull since the Humber Bridge".
 
The band will be touring extensively throughout the summer including sharing the bill with The Joy Formidable and The Horrors at Truck Festival in the UK in July.
