Let's Disengage Together Monolithic Megamix - the basic tracks from LDT, with appropriate tweaks and some re-ordering mixed into one continuous 70-minute track.  The transitions between songs are much closer to what I had originally intended, hard to achieve on a lot of streaming services.  This version could still use a little work IMO, especially after being uploaded to SoundCloud, but that just makes it a collector's item.  Download it while you can!

1AM, quiet room,(except for frank's cat at the end), no conversation.
This sample was demodulated via a technique called first-differencing (i.e. taking the first derivative of the signal) and then using a high pass filter to remove the hiss and squeal that is a natural artifact of first-diff.  A low pass filter also removed most components below 500Hz where additional signal or subcarrier was present.

In Frank's house, there is a cylindrical metal water pitcher ('vase') shaped like an organ pipe, surface area about 1000cm^2.  One day when Frank's tinnitus was very loud, he noticed that the vase "rang" as he walked by it.  He was able to make recordings as he walked, ran, and jumped past it.  These days, the vase does not ring when he or anyone else walks by it.  The babbling sound that mics pick up when Frank is near them can also be heard.  This version is verbatim as recorded at original volume.  The track BOOSTED_RINGING_METAL vase is the same recording, but with the gain boosted so that anomalous sounds that accompany the ringing of the vase are easier to hear.

This is an example of the "babbling" sounds that the microphone picks up when Frank's ear is near the mic.  Some compression and gain has been added to the signal to make it easy to hear.  Note for comparison that in the middle of the recording, the computer makes a notification tone that is a good basis for understanding comparative signal strength.

Returning to трип after last year’s fantastic ‘cheerful pessimist’ EP, Vladimir Dubyshkin presents ‘budni nashego kolhoza’, an abstract portrait of the ‘everyday life of a collective farm.’

On these driving, iridescent tracks Dubyshkin is as self-assured as he is unhinged. He advances with a controlled intensity – taunting vocal cuts loop and spiral over pulsating, muscular rhythms that seem moments away from derailing. It’s a gripping descent into delirium, dragged ankle-first by Dubyshkin.
