Live performance offering a tester of a harmonic sequence (mantra) as a base for  humming improvisations. This collective show was a memorial for Grenfell organised by Poetry4Grenfell to celebrate their achievements and for fundraising purposes. 

Family members of victims in the horrific fire that killed 72 people in our community took part in this introduction to humming.

16 participants of  the 10 day HUM at HOME training challenge submitted one humming track individually, humming to an original track from this channel as the source but without interacting with each other. This is a mix of all individual tracks on one single piece.  This track proves the fact that harmony is created when we are connected to our self and to a common source: our hearts in total freedom of expression, attention and intention.

POLYHUM 16 voices

Improvisation for piano, orchestra and participatory choir. HUM at HOME is a musical reminiscence journey, the vision of an adult looking  to his childhood and  life experience as a whole   

This is an artistic and humanitarian project which started in 2014 with a vision of bringing empathy consciousness to the world and the tools of vocal vibrational sound to heal and connect 

This piece is the starting point of new models of interaction between composer/ performer(s) and audiences through open interactivity that promotes active listening and co-creation via improvisation. With COVID-19 we need to use our imagination as musicians to overcome fear and turning into new opportunities to redefine the live experience of music around the world.

Hum Home Gran Canaria

Composer, Pianist and Social Entrepreneur. Creator of Humming in Harmony, a practise of social and creative mindfulness aiming at building resilience and empathy for mental health and inner peace in a world of uncertainty.  

Humming help individuals to connect with those who are different to themselves as a starting point to build dialogues across cultures (intercultural) Faith (Interfaith) Age (intergenerational) and intersexual identities (LGBTQ+)

The performance element includes improvisatory  concerts breaking barriers between musicians/ performers and audiences. Wellbeing communal musical experiences use humming to connect us all together with pieces for solo pianos, instrumental as well as full orchestral pieces. The listening is selective and the humming provides the feedback for co-creative immersive experiences. 

Sergio has worked as a film composer, videographer and in special needs education as a music teacher and teaching assistant. He uses humming (harmony) and other elements of music to deliver Empathy building programme for schools and organisations, looking at integration of preventive mental health and the development of emotional and social competences with wellbeing at the centre  to measure and improve communication, creativity and collaboration involving integrated communities (students, parents and students in the case of schools)
