Look In My Eyes ( Don't Remix)

This project is a letter wherein the title and recipient is “Girls Who Cry Wolf,” which serves as a type of ode to the fable. I wrote it as I reflected on my undergraduate experience, and realized after completion the perfect name. All the experiences I had, and the lessons I learned led to a disgorging of pent-up emotions. I had to release in order to make peace with decisions I made from the perspective of the person I strive to be, rather than the one I instinctively am. This project helped me work through parts of that ongoing struggle. Shoutout @rj_chavez_11 for being my focus group for this project, and allowing me to reach and explore a new level of my artistry. While this project was not created for the enjoyment of those who listen to it, I do both hope and believe that will be a side effect of experiencing it.
