‘Jardin du passé’, which means garden of the past, talks about the ghosts of past love stories, lived halfway or to the fullest, dreamed or for real, leaving behind only the nostalgic memory of what was supposed to be the love of a life, but ended up revealing itself as being only a big fantasy.

In this song, Inyha evokes the often thin border between reality and imagination, passionate love and love for passion, unjustified nostalgia and memories we want to keep close to our heart.

I feel that the whole planet is dark these days. I don't hear much good news from any country. So at times like this, I think we should just go with the flow. This song contains an odd time signature that gives a sense of rhythmic discomfort and the illusion that time has skipped. I would be happy if you would notice it. Thanks for reading here. By the way, I only have a 6-string guitar now, but it can be quite good if you are creative. The seven-string guitar I'd been using all my life had a neck that broke in two.

Back to the roots of this music - it is music for me, but I invite everyone to enjoy. It’s a growth project called “the ignorant savants” for good reason. I cannot read music. As an American, I create from a place of great ignorance while wielding great tech.  😉  I am a sometimes preachy published poet and enjoy the company of muses and educated musicians as well as garden gnome-makers like myself. I learn from you even if often ‘stuck in jam mode’, as a son has said, but it’s my best way to put my non-lyrical poetry to use musically.🌱
