LIXTRY 1: 

I’ve spent awhile trying to figure out where I fit in with music by trying different sounds to even trying to giving myself a more hip hop flow considering the fact that most of my friends are rappers. But the goal was to discover how I can share my talents AUTHENTICALLY but also while keeping up with the times.

I love writing it’s a safe space for me but why not take those feelings and aspirations off the paper and create a whole new form of “journaling”

DOUBT: 

  If there’s one thing I’m very familiar with it’s doubt. I feel like trauma has motivated me to expect doubt which can be good and bad at the same time. I kept listening to this audio over and over again and I noticed that in the pieces I took out while I was singing I would stop and do it over again like something was wrong with it. But in that moment of me singing it all I could think about was getting the notes write and making sure that there was depth in what I was singing. I’m learning to be more patient and optimistic about what I bring to the table.
