Omg this sound makes me wanna cry again 🥺

This is my response to this week's @naviar-records haiku challenge. Here's the information about that:

"young grasses -
not yet bent
in any direction"

Kaga no Chiyo-jo (1703–1775) was a haiku poet discovered by Kagami Shiko at a very young age. She became a Buddhist nun at 52 and wrote around 1,900 haiku in her lifetime. A highlight of her poetry career was presenting haiku to a Korean delegation in 1763, one of the first cultural exchanges of this kind.

In a hall of freezing rain
Whipping in a hurricane
Onslaught numbs me to the pain
In the cadence and cascade
Raindrops falling on my brain
I can sense beyond the state
Relinquished to animal
Thousand eyes restict my soul
Paralyzed I am defined
Writing poems for the blind
To describe the other side
Where I met them when they died
