A massive spaceship approaches it’s home solar system. You can see several other ships in a circle as the ship approaches. It decelerates and comes into orbit around a single grain of sand. It is all that is left of their home; gone long ago. But it is home; a loved home. A revered home.

We landed on the wasteland at sunrise. The civilization that once lived here, long gone. Everything burned to dust.

I saw it glinting on the dead sand. Their legacy. I touched it and what I found broke me, exposed every piece of my heart and then let it bleed for perfection. This Legacy, a love, pure.

They did not die out by war or famine or disease. No, they made this Legacy their life — their purpose — and they poured out all of their life — their love — all here.

It was their need, a billion lives, every one of them.
