Version 1.6 of "Surge" - an Dance-themed instrumental made primarily using the "Lazer Melodic Pop Sample Pack" by Cymatics.

This is the final of draft the first version, created in January of 2021.
I revisited the track as a first in an upcoming challenge to revisit tracks I made but never finished or publicised.

As soon as I watched the trailer, I started working on this remake - even if it *was*, 4 am.
It hit me in a good way.

I said to myself, "this is a bad idea ... but it's a good, bad idea".

So far, this is where we're at.
It's a fascinating song. I love how the composer(s), played with the time signature so much, while making the changes sosmooth and seamless.
... You wouldn't realise the new bar/phrase started at a different point, unless you analyzed it
// .. or listened to the song so many times, you know the voiceover lyrics by heart.


I guess a revolution is beginning soon.

then DROPS hard into a more lively section, taking breaks for dynamics and taking time to emphasize important info.

I'm gradually remaking the end-credits theme for Ahsoka,
a show I'm loving from Lukasfilm's and and Disney's
"Star Wars: Ahsoka".

This is a snippet a made tonight.
I listened to the song while sequencing the midi notes as an FL Keys instrument,
then I used Spitfire LABS, to add the instrumental atmosphere,
with a LARGE side of REEEEVEEEEERRRRRB.
