Story
The Lighthouse and the Star
On a shore forgotten by time, a lonely lighthouse keeper lit the light in his tower every night, waiting for signs from the sky. A shooting star named Izara had watched him for centuries, fascinated by his constancy and melancholy. Each time he lit the lighthouse, Izara sank a little lower, shining more intensely.
One stormy night, the lighthouse keeper climbed the lighthouse and shouted his wish to the sky: "If you ever see me, come down. I have nothing but light, but it's yours."
Izara, moved, fell from the sky in human form, wrapped in light and salt. They shared a brief but eternal love, because each night, even though Izara returned to the firmament, her brilliance aligned with the lighthouse, as if they were kissing from a distance.
