Here’s Butterboys story
He had a romance show with Chariel. But after a while, he started getting a bit too into his role because in real life, he had a crush on Chariel. This makes Chariel uncomfortable and Tenna notices this and fires Butterboy from his role. He has no choice but to live in the trash can. Soon, a certain "Strange man" gives him a shadow crystal to show him that nothing in life matters. But, this only makes him want to get revenge. Revenge on Toriel for throwing him into the trash. So after you go on a little side quest to find him, he sees Kris, Susie, and Toriel, and he gets mad. In his rage, he makes the vines connect to his body to make him stronger and boom the fight starts.
