You Take My Breath Away

This track had a difficult birth.  There was some combination of plugins that was clogging up my rather new and upgraded music production device.  Every change you wanted to make took close to thirty seconds--my OLD computer wasn't that bad, and I couldn't use that anymore.  

I almost gave up on this track--I mean, it's just a simple track (as befits the brief that I gave myself when I started posting a new track to SoundCloud everyday, nearly a month ago.  I wanted simple, short (oh, well) and structured tracks--different from the "experiments" I've been posting on Facebook) and it wasn't a track I needed to be spending this much frustrating time building.  

But I pushed through, I converted a few patterns to samples, deleted a couple of plugins...and all of sudden, like a plunger at a German restaurant, the blockage cleared and the music could flow freely again.  

This is a track about a car part (and NOT about where you might charge your Muskmobile) that was well loved by subscribers to AutoCraft or Hot Rod magazines in the 70s...or cartoonists whose drug intake fueled their fever drawings of impossible vehicles...or collectors of Hot Wheels.   (I was two of those things, make your own judgement as to which two.)  

What amuses me is that I own an effects plugin called Supercharger, which I did not actually use on this track.  Feels like a missed opportunity.  

I don't know what genre this is, honestly.  It's a hodgepodge.  It's...Interbay.
