For those who are unaware, this track is a remake of the 1983 classic by Chaka Khan. If you don't know who Chaka Khan, do some research. She is the original funk. In the mean time, we've included a few fun facts that will help bring you up to speed

- "Ain't Nobody" was inspired by a one night stand Chaka Khan had in the bathroom of Studio 54, hence the "oh, oh oh ohhhs" in the chorus of the song. 

- It's no surprise that Chaka's nickname was The Queen of Funk, but here's what IS surprising: Chaka Khan had a love child with the Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown, and that love child was the founding member of Chromeo. He was later kicked out for unknown reasons. 

- While "Ain't Nobody" went #1 on Billboard, and it's royalties continue to flourish to this day, Chaka Khan's largest paycheck actually came from her infamous hair. People don't know this, but Chaka had a patent on her hairstyle. So when the 80's garnered an explosion of hair metal bands, Chaka had an even bigger explosion in her bank account. It is reported that Slash from Guns N' Roses paid upwards of 5 million dollars to use Ms. Khan signature hair style. This is all 100% true.

So the last 6 or 7 remixes I've done, going all the way back to last fall, have been of originals that I (and everyone else) had been listening to for a while and knew inside and out.  Kanye, All of You, Runaway - all amazing tracks, all been streamed on Spotify like 40 million times.  As much as I love working with songs that have a huge audience already, there's something special about being the first artist to remix a track ahead of it's release, especially if it's from a new artist.  

A little while back Republic hit me up asking if I wanted to remix High On Love, and it was my first time hearing the incredibly talented @classactress -  I was sold right away, cause the girl can SING.  I'm really proud of how this one turned out - it's something different from the progressive house I usually put out, but still packs the energy people expect from my tunes.  This one is all about mellow breakdowns, melodic drops, and good vibes - if this isn't beach music, I don't know what is.

Funny but true -

2 - Will Smith is now older than Uncle Phil was when Fresh Prince started.  Just let that one sink in for a moment.

4 - This remix is dedicated to hitchBOT, the lovable hitchhiking robot who was decapitated in Philly this weekend.  This only confirms what any East Coaster already knows - Philly people are crazy as f.  

5 - This remix is also dedicated to Meek Mill, who's having the worst week of anyone in world history.

Exclusive Premiere - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself (Hibell Remix)

Here's my take on a great dance classic! Who remembers this one?

Floorfilla's iconic house track rightfully named 'Anthem #2', which was made in 1999, was put back in the spotlight in 2018 with a remix under the name of 'One Heart' by a collaboration between the ItaloBrothers and P. Moody. I really liked that remix since the first time I heard it, and I decided to have my spin on it 7 years later, with reimagined synth-filled, melodic drops that match the handsup/happy hardcore sound that I enjoy so much. It was great to work on a project inspired by my favorite artists and take the occasion to practice and confirm the production style I've been sticking with for a while now. I hope you appreciate this track, I'm happy to finally put it out there!

For all the happy electronic dance music fans out there, this bouncy, energetic remix is for you! Enjoy!
