This piece was written for the Royal Oak Citadel Band of the Salvation Army for their 90th anniversary celebrations. It features a number of tunes used at the Corps over the ninety year history, such as "We'll sing in the morning the songs of salvation," "I'm in His hands," and "We are standing on Holy Ground."

CHRONICLES OF FAITH

This fanfare was written for the 2013 Trash Cannes Film Festival, a UK based film festival for up and coming young film makers and writers. It was performed by the band led by Edward Mylechreest along with fanfares from two other composers from the United Kingdom.

How Great is Our God

This work takes the form of an overture depicting the struggles and challenges we as Christians in everyday life, the ultimate truth being that we don't have to fear anything because God will always be with us.

OVERTURE - WHOM SHALL I FEAR?

This work for smaller bands is a solo featuring the tenor horn (alto horn in the U.S.). It features the tune of "I, the Lord of Sea and Sky" and many times through this piece, you hear the four-note motif that expresses the words "Here I Am, Lord," which represents our willingness to obey God's will and for us to go wherever He needs us to go. The inspiration for this piece lies in the sixth chapter of Isaiah and the eighth verse.

This cornet duet was written as part of a surprise for a very dear friend of the composer. It was premiered on her birthday and it was only penned in five hours, simply adding a number of variations to the tune of Happy Birthday.

This piece was written for Kayla Hedgren in honor of her seventeenth birthday. It is an arrangement of 
Robert robinson's hymn "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" based on Sara Groves's upbeat contemporary version. This work is rhythmic and the use of both the drum kit and bongos is essential to it being performed at its full potential.

Of Every Blessing

This Unity Series overture, detailing the life of a soldier in God's army, begins with the battle cry "Soldiers of Christ, arise!" in a bold  setting. The music then proceeds into a toe-tapping and swing setting of the tune God's Soldier (T.B. 62). Then, everything slows down and we meet up with the contemporary song "Soldiers' Hymn" by Phil Laeger and Marty Mikles of transMission fame. Then the tempo picks up once more before a triumphant presentation of "Soldiers' Hymn." encouraging Christians to move "forward to the glorious fight of love!"

SOLDIERS OF CHRIST

Written for the Philadelphia Citadel Band of the Salvation Army (B/M Jonathan Collier), this selection celebrates God's faithfulness at the Corps for the past 125 years. Honoring the past and looking towards 
the future, this piece uses "Onward, Christian Soldiers" (SATB #188) and transMission's "Soldiers' Hymn."

ONWARD!

The Royal Oak Citadel Band of the Salvation Army, under the direction of B/M Greg Payton, perform Paul Sharman's processional setting of "Before the Throne." This arrangement of Vikki Cook’s song was originally written as a processional for a wedding but cna be used just as effectively as a concert item. It is majestic in style and grows to a triumphant conclusion.

This selection was written for a dear friend of the composer, Miranda Paige McDonald, in honor of her 17th birthday. Since she is a huge fan of the Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, the composer weaved three of his popular songs together: "Baby," "You Smile," and "Never Say Never."
