«Reflection Lines» is prepared for the end of the summer forth various artist compilation by @snppts Snippets Music from St.Petersburg. Nine tracks as always but this time there are a lot new names with music that we all love.

Snippets invited Ksky, Komartsov and Ellipse, who are already known for the label listeners. New friends from Belgrade - Cosmic G and Laars with a collaboration novella «Trancia», Maksim Polivanov from Motorama under the moniker Neporyadok and his «Jewel Box» and one of the most productive musicians in St. Petersburg — Rambal Cochet, also known as Volta Cab. FINA Records co-owner — Corbi, interesting duo who released their first vinyl on Gated Recordings this year — not even noticed, and the last but not the least is superb selector from Kazan, Tatarstan — Enfant.

The plans had been put in place and the wheels set in motion; there was little way out of it now, but she had to find a way. For as long as she could recall, she'd prioritised others - be it their emotions, their worries or their opportunities - and now she needed time to focus on herself. But it was to hard to tear herself away, she cared too much to go; she knew deep down she had to stay.

Born during lockdown as a platform to release music with spirit, no genre unturned, Brussels-based Undo Seat Belts return for their second release, this time inviting French artist Victor Gaudin AKA Cepren Synth to steer the ship with his fuzzy analog wave and synth jams. Titled 'The sorry best of', the 8-track LP collects unreleased tracks that Victor has been making in his bedroom over the last five years: "No edits, no cuts, no reasons as freedom is a distant memory."

Roy of the Ravers delivers a hard hitting, adrenaline pumping remix of main stay Seabreeze for all you techno loving freaks.

No doubt this record has something for every respectable disc jockeying veteran to pump to the masses… or perhaps just in their bedrooms.

Berghain resident DJ nd_baumecker has been a key voice in house & techno for years. As part of Barker & Baumecker, he has put out essential EPs and LPs on Ostgut Ton. Snax is a musician, singer, songwriter, producer, performer and DJ who brings real character to everything he does, releasing extensively on his Random Records label and many others. The pair have previously teamed up for remixes, bootleg and otherwise, and now expand on that with this inventive release. Says the artist of this new release, “‘Mandemic' sprang from the concept of what it might be like if / when our world’s current situation became eroticised, perhaps even evolving into a queer sex party. The only name for such a party would have to be ‘Mandemic', of course, and Snecker quickly stepped up to deliver its theme song.” It occurred to Snax that he knew another musician friend who would simply love to be on board with this, and that would be none other than Khan, the other half of their disco duo Captain Comatose. Together they provide the lyrical backdrop to this throbbing track for future dark rooms. ‘Mandemic’ is a sexy house tune with bumping drums and rubbery bass. Steamy vocals add intimacy while the pixelated leads lash about the mix next to splashes of acid and plenty of FX. Veteran DJ, songwriter and illustrator Pete Ellison remixes with a more trippy feel. The drums are chunky, and the chords jump about while dripping with naughtiness. Fauve Records boss and lifelong crate digger Romain FX then flips the tune into a stripped-back jack track with a driving bassline. Expressive melodies remain in place to ensure maximum impact on the floor. The second original, 'Things We Got,' is full of flavour from the pulsing bass, the angular drums and sprinkles of cosmic synth. It's warm and humid with an ever-evolving arrangement that keeps you on your toes. ‘Mandemic’ is a typically charming and characterful new take on house music from Freeride Millenium, and once again features striking artwork from Daniel Rajcsanyi.

PREMIERE : Snecker - Things We Got

The line climbed all the way round the block and far into the distance, people had been queuing since before dusk settled. The buzz of chatter filled the air, the excitement was palpable: there was no negative energy to be seen, strictly positivity from hereon out. Doors opened soon, and the crowd of partygoers searching for a release would be welcomed to descend into the heady chaos of clubland. 

It's been over 10 years since Scottish DJ and producer George T released music under his George Demure alias. Following a brief signing to Trevor Jackson's Output Recordings in 2007, he released on Tirk Records, before calling it a day in 2010 with his final LP 'The Drifter'. Now, a decade on, he's dusted off his gear and jumped back in the saddle, penning an ode to his days digging in, visiting and working in record shops: namely Underground Solu'shn, the Edinburgh store he co-founded, and Phonica and Smallfish — the shops he worked in during the early noughties.

'The Record Store (A-Z)', a roll call of the stores that have been part of his 30 year journey, is accompanied by 'Cut The Rug, a reflective track about the absence of nightclubs. The whole package gets the remix treatment from three of his pals, Gav AKA Fudge Fingas, Jonny Rock and Johnny Aux of Paranoid London.

Providing his debut for Ransom Note Records offshoot Insult To Injury, our fellow Amsterdammer and ECHOBOX radio DJ Oneven (a.k.a. Andrew Visser) offers up five pieces of electronic meatiness for our ravenous consumption. As a duel British/Dutch citizen, his electronic music heritage is strong and he draws on early IDM / Braindance methods to create a unique, trademark sound. With a huge passion for hardware, Oneven tries to keep the music as organic and honest as possible, mistakes and all.

Lead single (and synth master class) VM1S2RM springs out of the trap first, hurtling along at breakneck pace, peppered with curious bleeps, noises and percussion stabs, this IDM monster leaves little breathing room. Next up, M52t5, comes down a few gears and treats us to some laid back, electro tinged 808 beats and beautifully ethereal chords over the industrial, Kraftwerk-esque synth lines.

brrytmt takes us into another world completely, tugging at the heartstrings with its expressive, lofi chords, rolling over the top of some beautifully heavy, distorted beats. Tissue continues in that vein, more subdued machine sounds are juxtaposed to the frantic 707 rhythms and repeating vocal edit, conjuring up an eerily stunning scene.

Rounding off, we’re treated to more stirring, processed sounds with Dlaciebie. A sparse and precise piece of automaton music that invokes a certain sadness, proving once and for all that, machines do indeed have emotions...
