The debut in the record industry of Mr.Henry, singer-songwriter, aspires to be one of the most confident and disquieting characters in the Italian alternative scene.

His gut passion for blues brings him to be drawn to various local bands until personal as well as musical issues push him towards a search for a more personal vision with the subsequent withdrawal from the scene which he had lived and frequented until then.

In the next three-four years, 100 or so songs were born, the majority of which were short and intimate: personal displays, which Mr.Henry has fun distorting and rendering unpredictable, as much in the English lyrics as in the structure of the tunes.

On stage, Mr.Henry is able to wriggle, writhe, sway, shout and mistreat his guitar as if he is playing punk, giving life and very physical and intense performances.

The inspiration, for Mr.Henry, is to transport oneself in the spirit of two albums in particular: Grace by the late Jeff Buckley, and The heart Of Saturday Night by Tom Waits, even though his own production dismisses both these to give life to a particularly personal style, and physically, more visceral. His deep voice reminds us of artists such as Mark Lanegan and Steve Von Till and his technique is, on some levels, similar to artists such as Mark Linkous (Sparklehorse) and Ed Harcourt, without ignoring some apocalyptic folk eccentricity.

From 2003 Mr. Henry  released three critically acllaimed albums:

The record shows in full Mr.Henry's love for the Blues, filtered through the experiences of names as Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Captain Beefheart. With a throat that reveals a voice as deep as Mark Sandman and Barry Adamson ones.

- "& the Hot Rats" (Suiteside/Pulverandasche - 2006)  
The Hot Rats is the name of the band that join Mr.Henry on stage, but it's also an homage to the genius of Frank Zappa. This this multi-layered record is a patchwork of many influences like country and blues music, played with a raw and experimental mood. 

The new surprise from Varese has the name of Mr. Henry. The breath of & the Hot Rats is deep and rock, with its western minimal minuets that lead on the desert paths preaviously explored by Calexico.   4/5 Rumore

"Ornery" was compsed, perfomed, recorded, mixed and mastered by Mr. Henry alone.  There are all the elements of the previous 2 albums ( slow dark ballads, rock'n'roll attidute, sophisticated harmonies, weird song structures, meaningless vocalizing ) mixed with pearcing electronica, experimental/noisy sounds and lots of electric guitars.
