Following the success and critical acclaim of 2013's cinematically epic release, 'Thanks For Trying', producer The Last Skeptik reunites with BBE for his new EP, the lovingly titled 'I Don't Even Like You'. Offering an electronic twist on his previous project whilst maintaining his emotional, instrumental, soundtrack-rap oeuvre, at seven tracks deep, 'I Don't Even Like You’ features two vocal tracks; one with MTA Records own Dream Mclean, and the other with pop starlet FEMME. The first leak from the EP, 'Show Me' has just been given a lovely remix by grime heavyweights Trim and Scrufizzer, who go back to back on the ridiculously hype Skeptik beat.  “I've always been a fan of both Trim and Scrufizzer so to get them both on a track together is nuts,” says Skeptik. “I produced a couple of songs on Trim's last mixtape, and met Scru around the same time via a mutual friend. They both are crazy versatile over any beat... I knew they would kill the remix.” 
 
'I Don't Even Like You' is out on November 10th on BBE Records

The Answer

Two of our favourite names in UK hip-hop, The Last Skeptik and Dream McLean have teamed up once again on new heater "Doing Bits", the first cut to be heard from their new EP Cheese On Brown Bread (a primer for Skeptik's upcoming album). Both artists provided some of 2016's brightest highlights for us (Skeptik for his work with Trim and Nico Lindsay, and McLean for The Groove EP with his Monster Florence crew), and just 12 days into 2017 and the pair are looking to make their mark on this year too. As you'd expect from a duo that have been working closely together for much of the last few years, "Doing Bits" sees them at their low-slung best. Skeptik provides a playful, bounce-heavy rap beat while Dream McLean spins a web of nimble rhyme schemes for one of their best collabs yet. Check out "Doing Bits" below ahead of the EP's release on Jan. 23 via Thanks For Trying Records.
