I was inspired after watching a video of John Frusciante (of Red Hot Chili Peppers) playing his own cover version during a live concert in 2007.

Also, most Glee fans could relate to this song. :)

This cover is inspired by Sara Lov's version of Arcade Fire's My Body Is A Cage.

Dedicating this song to a good friend of mine, who had been my source of inspiration and encouragement. I know this song means a lot to her personally. Thank you y gracías, Ally.

Arcade Fire / Sara Lov - My Body Is A Cage (Acoustic Guitar Cover)

This song is quite a musical adventure for me. However simple the chords may be, this is such a versatile song - it can be played &amp; sang in so many different styles.

It took me a while to decide the most appropriate type of chords arrangement and rhythm, which I could call my own. 

I decided to go for a style that's neither too close to the original version nor too melancholic, probably more mainstream Pop/Rock Folk than Indie Folk.

So, hopefully, my version achieves a happy medium (or not!). And oh, the Pad's excellent voice recorder is making my voice sound terribly unflattering.

Bon Iver - Skinny Love (Soussen Acoustic Guitar Version)

One of my favourite Gold songs. I absolutely love the breezy melody, snappy lyrics & flowing chord arrangements of this song.

Albeit, all good things come with a price - it's a real toughie with bar chords galore! I don't know how Alice Gold does it - bet she's super-fit and has iron claws for hands! Towards the end of this song, I was hanging on to my dear life. Oh, okay, so I exaggerated a little but you get my drift!

Anyway, this song was inspired by a very charming Latina in a pewter-coloured summer dress and snake-skin sandals. Yes, you know who you are! :)

Alice Gold - Runaway Love (Soussen Acoustic Guitar Cover)

My first rough recording - after a hiatus of about 5 months. And a rushed one at 3 in the morning before leaving for the airport at 5.30 a.m. 

Originally an R&B-Pop song and this song may not be to everyone's taste but I think it's a sweet, tuneful song; with a 'feel good' factor.

Taio Cruz - I Can Be (Soussen Acoustic Guitar Version)

This song is one of my all-time favourites.

Originally performed by one of Birmingham's finest, Mr. Steve Winwood - his rendition was an infectious and upbeat R&B-Soul number; with Chaka Khan providing female vocals.

My version is loosely based on Irish folk music singer-songwriter, James Vincent McMorrow's more downbeat solo performance on a piano.

This is my version of a Jimmy Cliff classic, also recently popularised by Welsh singer Rachel Collier.

This song was played on my concert ukelele.

I added my personal touch - my own short 'spoken verse' towards the end of my song.

It goes like this: 
I'll pass through villages, towns and cities;
Relentlessly, I'll continue on my journeys.

I'll walk down lanes, obscure and narrow;
wading through rivers and crossing plateaus,
endlessly, moving out of the shadows.

I know it's not easy but my heart's on fire;
