It's been quite a few years. My new ep, "Navegante," is now complete and out there. Another chapter in this book has been written and concluded. I still don't understand how I got inspired to create this. I spent countless days stuck in a creative block, but it just somehow happened in the end. I'm glad it did.

So, I don't know where I go from here. I still remember crafting "Naufrago" years ago, and now here I am with "Navegante." As the quote says, apparently attributed to the Stoic philosopher Seneca, “Náufrago fui, antes que navegante,” which means, “I was a castaway before becoming a sailor.” Maybe this is a fine ending, or a great opportunity for the story to change. Who knows.

Naufrago (ep)

After a year and a half, I'm proud and happy to present to you "Flying Colors". I feel that everything has been leading to this moment. All the changes, the realizations, the hiatus and other ups and downs, brought me here and formed this beattape.

As for the content, if you're familiar with any of my previous material, you'll quickly understand that this time around things are different. I really wanted to go for a soulful experience, so I picked appropriate tracks to sample, with the biggest challenge being that most of these tracks had already been sampled by beatmakers I look up to. But it was an amazing process, and thankfully I'm a fan of the final result.

Before "Flying Colors", everything was about Theodore, the young man and his thoughts. This one is for Lost Son, the beatmaker. Hope you enjoy it. Stay safe.

Look, all I ever wanted to do was make music to ease my own pain, share stories, reminisce. Back in 2016, I released "Rest in Beats", with no specific intentions. I just wanted to talk. Interestingly enough, the more I kept talking, the more people started listening, and what I saw was that they were somehow finding pieces of themselves in my stories, in the beats I was uploading. And here we are now, having shared all these beautiful moments and tales of our lives, the tears, breakups, first loves, exams, graduations, trips, secrets, everything, looking for what to do next. Really, knowing that at some point in time, somewhere, my music helped at least one person feel better during hard times, that's all I need. I'm done. Blah-blah, I know.

there are certain things in life that words cannot express, and some situations that can't be simply described. that thought keeps me up at night. what if your life were a movie, if you could look at yourself from above and see it all playing out like it's on a screen, what sound would your heartbreak make? what sound would time make as it's passing by while you're out there slowly withering away? see thing is, time passing by, as a "taste", at least in my mind, strongly relates to melancholy. nobody wants time to pass. we all want to live in the moment. if something is good, we don't want it to end, or pass us by. so yes, this is what time passing by sounds like. we all want to go back, don't we?
