The Leadings vuelven!
The Leadings son una banda de pop electrónico cuyo único objetivo es hacer de cada canción un single rompepistas, de cada letra un mensaje en cada uno de sus temas, y de cada concierto una autentica fiesta en la que no dejar de bailar un instante. 
Tras la gran acogida  de su álbum debut "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough!!" (Tsunami Music) lanzado en 2009 y presentarlo por los distintos festivales indies del país SOS 4.8, LOW COST, TREMENDO POP, ARENAL SOUND, SONORAMA.. la banda ha convertido la reacción del público en su principal inspiración.
A principios de este 2012 lanzan su nuevo trabajo, "Stars" que definen como una combinación de composiciones con mucha más fuerza y ritmos totalmente adictivos junto con la experimentación inteligente de los sintetizadores,y a pesar de que la electrónica ha salido reforzada en este nuevo trabajo, el álbum aún conserva su espíritu indie pop y hedonista de sus comienzos donde cada tema es un descubrimiento.
La imparable proyección de esta joven banda no se limita únicamente a la presentación de sus temas en directo, sino que ya al mismo tiempo y debido a sus inicios como dj’s, ofrecen habitualmente sesiones como The Leadings Djs, realizando incluso numerosos remixes para otras bandas.

The Leadings return!!

Spanish electronic band 'The Leadings' are back with 10 new tracks with the release of their second studio album entitled 'Stars' on Xmas day 2011. As a Xmas gift, it will be available for free download from December the 25th, and later it will be available in physical format.
It has been two years since the band's debut album "Don't Stop Until You Get Enough!" (Tsunami Music) and throughout this time the band has played in some of the most important indie festivals in Spain and has received excellent reviews, the festival goers reaction to their music has been the main inspiration for for the new album.
"Stars" has been described as an album of strong compositions, physically addictive rhythms and intelligent experimentation with synthesizers, also containing "heavenly arrangements full of highs and lows that will draw you in from the first minute". During the recording of 'Stars' the studio walls were covered in neon lights that 'The Leadings' used to enliven their creativity and because of this, "Stars" has focused more heavily on dance music inspired synths than its predecessor. Despite them having a more electronic feel, the new album still includes a unique mix of hedonistic indie and pop in which each new song is a discovery. The themes of the songs were inspired by those who came to support 'The Leadings' over the last few years, being a mix of unrequited love and heartache, the perils of drugs and the influence of music on life.

Last year Metric presented the great track Gimme Sympathy, from their last studio album Fantasies (2009).

Curiously the song lyrics references none others than The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, ("Who would you rather be?/The Beatles or The Rolling Stones"), and even the title of the track comes from two hits from "Their Satanic Majesties"; 'Gimme Shelter' and 'Sympathy for the Devil'.
Among the latest projects from the Canadian band we saw their collaboration in the Twilight saga's Eclipse OST and now in the Scott Pilgrim vs The World one too,with their song 'Black Sheep'. At the moment they're acting as support band at some Muse gigs in the USA and Canada.


Now, our friends The Leadings (who previousy did remixes of Two Door Cinema Club and Digitalism) have remixed it, turning it more catchy and danceable if possible, a perfect tune for the weekend!

The Murcian with their electro-pop sound, will release a new video soon and they will play a series of djsets (we assure you that they do worth it) to celebrate it, you can find the dates on their MySpace.
