Here comes the new exciting release by ARIMA SOUL musical project from the Basque Country. 

In this case, a real vinyl collectors item, exactly a limited edition of 7" double single on vinyl 45 rpm. Including different songs of diverse styles, something characteristic of the ARIMA SOUL group, hence the title "Disco·Funk·Reggae·Dub" and with the indisputable and talented art&design by the great Txarly Brown from Barcelona. 

On side A of the first disc, we find a remix of the soulful song "Gu Andereak" taken to the realm of disco-funk, produced by the great DJ and producer VOODOOCUTS based in Berlin and specialized in revitalizing vintage sounds of jazz, soul, r&b, funk , afro, latino,... 

On side B of the first disc, we find a cover recently recorded by the group at Elkar estudioa, of the classic "Lady Day & John Coltrane" great song composed & performed by genius GIL SCOTT-HERON. 

On sides A and B of the second disc, we find “Amets” track featured on the group's first release, in this case a re-mixed vocal reggae song and its corresponding dub version, by the hand of ROBERTO SANCHEZ, undisputed master of Spanish Reggae & Dub sound, straight from his A-LONE ARK Muzik Studio in Cantabria (Spain).

The James Taylor Quartet are a British four-piece Jazz Funk / Acid Jazz band formed in 1985 by James Taylor.
This edit is taken from the great album « Extended Play » out back in 1994. The whole album is a groove delight and I was looking to edit at least one of the track from it, now it’s done with this club version of "Keep The Dream Alive" .
For music lovers I highly recommend to check the full album.

Osibisa is a British Afrobeat band, founded in London in 1969 by four expatriate African and three Caribbean musicians. Their music is a fusion of African, Caribbean, jazz, funk, rock, Latin, and R&B and highlife.
Osibisa were the most successful and longest lived of the African-heritage bands in London, alongside such contemporaries as Assagai, Chris McGregor's Brotherhood of Breath, Demon Fuzz, and Noir, and were largely responsible for the establishment of world music as a marketable genre.
