TRUE LOVE is the 1st release of CEITHRE CINN. In the height of lockdown '21, a small window opened for 4 incredible musical artists to meet up at the legendary Black Mountain Studios in Ireland for 3 days. 

Funded by First Contact Music and their much needed Music Industry Stimulus Package, Suzanne Savage, Matt McGinn, Ciaran Lavery & Finnian Kelleher were allowed some time and a beautiful space to write and record together. 

It was not known what would come out of the writing retreat, but the results were astonishing. 

This first release is called 'TRUE LOVE' and was written by all four members of Ceithre Cinn, and recorded live later that day. The song was created while the members reflected over loved ones lost, through the pandemic and before. It soon became clear that it was not the massive moments shared that they missed the most, but the simple ones...like sitting on the sofa, cuddled up...watching TV. 

TRUE LOVE is released on all download and streaming platforms on April 25th 2022

"Send In the Clowns" is a song written by Stephen Sondheim for the 1973 musical A Little Night Music, an adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's 1955 film Smiles of a Summer Night. It is a ballad from Act Two, in which the character Desirée reflects on the ironies and disappointments of her life. Among other things, she looks back on an affair years earlier with the lawyer Fredrik, who was deeply in love with her, but whose marriage proposals she had rejected. Meeting him after so long, she realizes she is in love with him and finally ready to marry him, but now it is he who rejects her: He is in an unconsummated marriage with a much younger woman. Desirée proposes marriage to rescue him from this situation, but he declines, citing his dedication to his bride. Reacting to his rejection, Desirée sings this song. The song is later reprised as a coda after Fredrik's young wife runs away with his son, and Fredrik is finally free to accept Desirée's offer.[1]

Sondheim wrote the song specifically for Glynis Johns, who created the role of Desirée on Broadway. The song is structured with four verses and a bridge, and uses a complex compound meter. It became Sondheim's most popular song after Frank Sinatra recorded it in 1973 and Judy Collins' version charted in 1975 and 1977. Subsequently, numerous other artists recorded the song, and it has become a standard.
 This is our version with a Tempus twist.

Old Amica is a two-man band originally from Norrbotten, Sweden. Today they are separated by 1864km with one part in Stockholm, Sweden, the other in Genève, Switzerland. Fyr is their 8th record and it was recorded between February and April, 2023. It’s their third instrumental album to date and Fyr is very much the spiritual successor to Taiga, which we released on Whitelabrecs back in 2019.

Fyr is a collection of memories suspended in time. It is the overgrown park, the written word on the demolished building, the pulsating light of a dead star, the tiny fragments of color breaking through the concrete, the fear that love isn’t enough, the silence after the machines stopped. It is to save these places and people from fading into oblivion.

It was inspired by the words of Tove Janson, the nameless voices on the shortwave radio, and the sounds of The Beach Boys.
