Underground label Goon Club Allstars is tapping into the flourishing revival of UK Funky with a new project from producer KG.

The EP sees KG breathe new life into two lost anthems from years past. Both ‘808’ and ‘Midnight’ receive dramatic, futuristic flips on the release, with each of the dancefloor-ready cuts reworked into something completely unique. Our pick of the bunch is the remix we’re premiering today, brought to you by FDM pioneer and Night Slugs affiliate Hitmakerchinx. Hypnotic and bass-heavy, the track is a sure-fire heater.

Premiere: KG 'Midnight' (Hitmakerchinx FDM Remix)

‘Riddled Form’ is Merci Jitter’s analytical-take on compilation-like formats. Continually motivated by multiculturalism, the project collates a set of tracks from a handful of international artists. Presenting a more emotive-form of club music, one that oozes with urgency - the London-based platform now looks towards the current state of things and reflects on a generation that is considerably at odds with itself.

Riddled with angst, anxiety, world conflicts and social media, ‘Riddled Form’ investigates how this generation interacts and grows within this ambiguous environment. Exploring ideas of hedonism, introspection and frustrations towards technology, artificiality and reality - the compilation showcases harsh yet subtle compositions that subconsciously underline the aforementioned thematics. The 10-track project points fingers in both ambiguous and subjective ways, each track succeeds itself in a narrative fashion and gives new meaning to each other along the way.

We are very proud to present you our new compilation called “Club Tribute Vol. 2”.

Almost two years after the first volume, a simple idea came to our minds : celebrating club culture through its diversity. As the first volume did, but this time going a little bit further than before : the spectrum of genres and approaches towards club music is here completely expanded, and shows above all that what is commonly qualify as “club sounds” covers in fact many different ways of thinking. Some with experimental takes on it, some others strictly made for the dance, some blending different styles, some with vocals, some rough, some soft, but all with a common point : inspired in some way by the club and its history, its evolutions, its spirit.

10 tracks (ranging from original ones, blends and edits) by 10 completely different artists, with different backgrounds, different locations and different musical careers that we really wanted to bring together through this project.
