There's an old-school touch to ISAbella's sound. Breakbeats, rolling tech house, progressive house and trance pepper both her studio mixes and her debut EP, transporting listeners to a place of peak '90s indulgence. It's no wonder, then, that vintage rave sounds are a signature tenet of MARICAS, the club night and label that she helped start in 2018.

Her love for the '90s is tangible on her RA Podcast, an emotional journey across breakbeat house, trancey techno and funky electro. First-rate throwbacks such as Canyon's "Move" and "Lightspan Soundwave" by The Shamen exude a carefree euphoria, while heavier cuts like Desert's "Moods (Club Mix)'' intensify the feeling of rapture. Even the contemporary releases, like Bashkka's excellent "C-quence Of Calamities," feel rooted in nostalgia.

MARICAS mixes are usually energetic from the get-go, but ISAbella starts out nice and relaxed this time around. The mix's most striking element is how personal each track feels—a reflection of her intimate relationship with these records. Each one evokes a special poignancy and though these ephemeral selections were largely improvised, ISAbella believes they "show what's going on lately and what's going on forever."

Luxembourg born, Brussels based Diego Cozzi, aka Fais Le Beau is in our sight for a while now as he keeps blowing us away with his dj sets and mixes. We caught up with the Gay Haze co-founder about his magical tour through Vietnam, some exciting evolvements within his DJ career and projects he’s been working on. Furthermore, he hits it right on the spot again with this well-crafted mix of 90’s goods.

"Compared to my previous mixes, I cared a lot less about the obscurity or rarity of the records for this one but more about keeping a steady, unpretentious, fun energy (as a result, you hear almost constant kick drums throughout :p). I put in some classic 90s UK and US house/acid house records, blending some percussion, build-ups, and emotional vocals here and there. It's a mix perfect for exercising, doing chores at home, or anything that keeps your body moving! "

About his favorite track: “there's an old Samantha Fox remix which I've been obsessing over for years but never found a good spot for until now. It's uplifting and fun and the melody gives me goose bumps every time I hear it."

Here we have the last set for now from this year's Nachtipod series from Olganitz. @moopie, even though it was his first time at this place, understood it immediately. His set at the lake was a pure joy for the dancers - less techno tunnel, more bouncy, less trippy, more looking right and left(field).
He paired vintage prog with dreamy electro that morning and even ventured slightly into italo territories. Well it's all rave and in the end Moopie's greatest talent is knowing exactly what that one track is that people need most right now.
