It’s research in programming and patching, combined with creative experiments, playing with time, space and letting go of song forms and structures. It’s about creating sound-collages that make you see the sounds and textures like a painting.

I will perform this series throughout the year, with a live-video and a release of each track.

Dear music lovers,
We proudly present the 2nd artist who continues our Podcast series, Alec Pritchard. We kindly asked Alec if he could share some things about him... here is what he wrote back:
"I am a music collector and a listener first, a DJ second. I started collecting and mixing back in 1997 and have always loved the deeper and melodic shades of house, techno and electronic music in general. My mixing and flow on the decks is rather rusty these years as I don't find much time to DJ as I get deeper into the abyss of adulthood, but my passion for finding interesting music and putting together nice sounds never fades.
I run a podcast series called Avenue Red that I began in 2013 and it has grown to be a very satisfying project for myself, other regular DJ's in the collective who can use it as a platform to share their underground visions of music, and of course for the many listeners that find it to be a reliable repository for deep, thoughtful music.
This mix is the first proper one I have recorded in almost a year, conceived on a rare afternoon in January where a few hours of solitude came along with a healthy dose of inspiration. The selection is just an impulsive flow through some random records in my collection - plenty of hypnotic, groovy, melodic, soulful, dubby, deep, aquatic sounds to get lost in... I hope it works for you. Alec :)"
