This set starts with a message from Archie Burnett (@/demoncar007 on IG), a mentor to many dancers around the world and narrator/co-producer of the iconic documentary, “Check Your Body at the Door,”. The documentary showcases the lives and culture of club dancers in New York through the 90s. Made to Move (IG - @/madetomovela), my party @/bodyhigh.lgr, and @/coloredcraigcommunity collaborated on a screening event for this documentary in December. 

For this show I wanted to record many of the tracks I played from our party that night, which was dedicated to the dancers — for the ones that paved the way, and for the ones we make room for today. Accordingly, this set features classic NY and deep house, as well as some of my favorite Detroit cuts.
