bambinodj’s @henryaleksis musical influences trace back to his early childhood in Guinea, West Africa, and are further shaped by his formal training in classical music.
In the early 2010s, bambinodj explored SoundCloud’s underground, tracing black diasporic club sounds from Brooklyn to London. Genres like FDM, Soflojook, UK Funky and Grime shaped his approach to rhythm, energy, and sound design.
After moving to Berlin, he immersed himself in its diverse electronic music scenes, each one adding another layer of inspiration.
Over time, bambinodj gravitated toward the emotional spectrum of music, where melancholy, euphoria, and intimacy intersect.
Blending elements of dancehall, pop, electronica, and trance, he creates a sound that is both personal and globally resonant. What began as remix-driven collage work has evolved into a more refined language, one where vulnerability and rhythm move in sync.
