Retrospective: Elaborate Intuition is a mix by Bergsonist made entirely of original recordings tracing the artist's musical journey. This mix was recorded in the artist's home in Brooklyn, NY, in January 2023. 

Selwa Abd is a multi-disciplinary artist, musician and designer living in NYC and originally from Morocco. She is the founder of the community resource Pick Up The Flow and she is an NTS Radio resident. Under the guise of Bergsonist, she uses a variety of media to investigate social resonance through divergent conceptual aesthetics (minimalism and musique concrète to name a few). Selwa’s extended creative practice uses intuition and fragment-based systems as legitimate and only modi operandi. Through her work, she explores notions of identity, memory, and social politics. Her first full length album/sonic autobiography: “Middle Ouest” was released via Optimo Music in 2020. In 2022, She was an ISSUE Project Room Artist-in-Residence as well as a Harvestworks' Fellow. https://selwaabd.net

BERGSONIST, RETROSPECTIVE: ELABORATE INTUITION | SATELLITE MIX 005

DJ Kfeelz's tastes are influenced by her eclectic upbringing in Brooklyn, NY.  As a member of the women and non-binary person of color DJ collective Miss/chief and a Level Party 2023 resident, she plays all over the city, carrying a steady energy of optimism in all her sets.  As a solo artist, she displays an ear for soothing sounds on her Lot Radio show, Swimming. Her DJ sets veer from lush downtempo to hands-in-the-air house moments and surprise Italo bangers. 

Whether it is moving her feet on the dance floor or digging for tunes, she is thankful to continue to be moved by the magic of music. Her intent is to bring joy to the dance floor and share in the love of music with others ✨

"I have been listening to a lot of records at home lately as well as digging for new tunes when I have free time. This mix weaves together records I’ve bought in Canada and NYC as well as records that have been given to me. I feel very lucky and grateful to derive immense joy from music; my only goal is to share that stoke with others."
