Love Injection is proud to present special guest Tony Troffa 

 Tony has been selecting and collecting vinyl since 1989.​ From a young age he gravitated toward rap and dance music. While consistently gigging and building his vinyl collection throughout the 90’s, he frequently traveled throughout New York and out of state, rummaging through thrift shops, garage sales, and dirt piles to uncover the gems of the past that were used as samples in many of the records that he admired.​ He was greatly inspired and drawn into the world of rare grooves, spanning a range of genres such as disco, jazz, soul, Latin and African. He really enjoys sharing beautiful and eclectic music that is not widely known but worthy of high praise, and at times he makes available his personal edits for release on his co-owned label, Made in NY Records.

We've been huge fans of the Klasse Wrecks crew for years now. Their graphic style and the sounds they put out continuously demand attention time and time again! So we're very excited to welcome Mr. Ho, one of the brains behind the label and amazing producer, to take our guest mix series for a spin.

"The main thing I was trying to do was to make it sound coherent. There's an electro feel throughout this mix, but not everything would be classified by purists as electro. Its still relatively early on in the year, so I've actually been revisiting some tracks that I have in my collection but haven't played in a while, which makes up for a lot the music in this mix.

Releases - I've had two records out on Klasse Wrecks since the beginning of this year. One of them is WRECKS048 - Mr. Ho "000 Baby w/ Om Unit remix", and the other is a track called "Hardly Working" on an Acid flavoured release called FRISB03 (the release comes with an acid frisbee). In April there is a track on Japan's Cowboy Family new label, the track is called "Aw Shucks" At some point this year there will be the release of my remix for Masarima "Freek like U" on Clone records, a track on Innershade's Altered Circuits, another EP with Luca Lozano on Klasse Wrecks, and my second EP for Cabaret Records.

This year I am excited to be making my debuts in a few festivals - Rainbow Disco Club in Japan and Korea, Polifonic in Italy, Miki Maki festival in France, and Dekmantel in the Netherlands. I will be on tour in Europe from end of May until beginning of August, and will be playing in many different nice clubs and cities." - Mr. Ho

Love Injection is a New York music and culture monthly fanzine in print since February 2015, founded by DJs, archivists, and audio enthusiasts Paul Raffaele and Barbie Bertisch. Their namesake record label launched in 2020. Avid record and audio enthusiasts, Paul is also an art director and Barbie writes and performs music with various projects.

Elkin is a Montréal-born filmmaker, who has worked with leading brands and artists as filmmaker and photographer. He began his career creating skate videos featured in magazines and cinemas. In 2013, under editor Graydon Carter, he founded the film department at Vanity Fair Magazine. In 2021, his feature-length documentary, All the Streets Are Silent (Hulu), premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, followed by a worldwide theatrical run. His work has been exhibited in MoMa, MoCA, Brooklyn Museum, OCMA, Saatchi Gallery and Guggenheim Museum. He received Communication Arts' 'Award of Excellence' for his Converse project, 'Best Documentary' at The Webby Awards, among others. His photographs and films for Italian garment maker Stone Island were on-display as part of their recent exhibition Archive Works ‘982-’024 in Los Angeles, CA.
