Limbo (Instrumental)

THE LUST was formed in St. Petersburg (Russia) 2002 by the former guitarist of Russian bands DISSECTOR and TARTHARIA. After recording of the first demo under the name LAST EMBRACE (mixed in Finnish Astia studio with producer Anssi Kippo, mastering by Mika Jussila from Finnvox Studios) band has got deal with Russian label FONO and released 2004 first full-length album "Tangled" (also mixed by Kippo) under the name THE LUST. One year later THE LUST has signed a deal with Greece label SLEASZY RIDER and released in 2005 in Europe second album "My Dear Emptiness", which was mixed and mastered by Christian Schmid at Music Factory in Germany. The album was also licensed by Russian label IROND and has got from 7 to 10 points in different magazine reviews, incl. German Rock Hard. The next album “Membrane” was released in summer of 2006 and followed in summer 2008 by the European re-release of album "Tangled" in digi-pack format with 2 bonus tracks. At the same time band has recorded in Russia and Finland songs for its fourth studio album. The mixing/mastering of new tracks of The Lust and re-working of some previous and hidden tracks were also done by Christian Schmid at Music Factory in 2008. A couple of new demos were recorded at the end of 2009 in Saint-Petersburg. In January 2010 the new self-financed album "One Life Ago' have seen the light, it was compiled with unreleased and rare tracks of THE LUST, recorded between 2003 and 2005. The band finally has released his fourth studio album called "Decomposition Deluxe" as digi-pack at the end of 2010. In 2013 the band has made his profile on bandcamp.com where has released all his studio albums and lots of unreleased stuff, including some digital only EP's and new album "Out Of The Flesh".
2015 THE LUST has decided to continue with new singer Anna Dust (Decadence Dust). During 2015-2016 renewed band together with some guest-musicians has recorded its first conceptual album “Black Dahlia Poem”. The mixing/mastering was done again by Christian Schmid at Music Factory in Germany. 2018 THE LUST have released several albums and singles, including their most noticeable full lenght "Karmalove" and EP "Dear Diary" with unreleased tracks. 2019 the compilation "Lustration" with cover-versions recorded during 2016-2019 followed with three new recordings. In the summer 2019 the group began work on a new album "Honest", which was released in summer 2020, accompanied by several singles and video for the song "Hate At First Sight". The album "Karmalove" with 4 exclusive bonus-tracks was also re-released at the same time by SoundAge Production. In January 2021 the band released full-lenght piano-album "Ethereal Euphonies"- songs from different albums by THE LUST performed by pianist Lorelei Ether.
