Next up on the Local Selection Mix series is Dublin-based selector Tolentechno, who provides a high-octane live recording from Vision’s 6-Year Anniversary showcase at Farrier & Draper. The rising DJ expertly blends early 2000s techno nuances, ghetto cuts, and vintage trance euphoria.

Tolentechno steps up for the 237th edition of the Local Selection Mix series. The up & coming DJ is best known for his work as co-founder of The Shed Resident’s. The no-holds-barred Dublin-based party has welcomed a number of high-profile DJs including Daria Kolosova, Imogen, Dr. Rubenstein, D.Dan, Faster Horses, DJ Fuckoff and more.

Tolentechno, the self-proclaimed Bootleg Connoisseur, has been making waves in the Dublin dance music scene in recent years. His eceletic and expansive approach to DJing has captivated dancers at venues across the capital. The youngster’s ability to pair unlikely tracks together keeps dancers on the edge of their seats. From bass-quaking electro cuts to straight-forward techno artilray, tongue-in-cheek style edits, and more, the Dublin-based selector’s USB is stunningly chaotic, but his skills in the booth command both attention and respect.

His love for the fun side of dance music drives him to funky, fast-paced, hard-hitting music with identifiable samples and quirky interpretations of cult classics. Tolentechno throws curveball after curveball at the crowd, ranging from hardgroove to gabber, trance, and back.

Tolentechno’s contribution to the Local Selection Mix combines elements of hip-hop, funk, techno, and house music to create a distinct sound that is based on his fundamental ethos of juggernaut track selections and breakneck mixing techniques. The youngster’s inherent flare in the booth is both dynamic and bold. He excels when mixing at fast-pace layering sounds and creating tension throughout the mix, resulting steamrolling style hour mix.

Our next entry to the Local Selection welcomes Max Dufficy as he shares a wonderfully crafted mix which traverses a dynamic blend of bass-driven rhythms and trippy vocals. The Dublin-based DJ and producer steps up for the 238th edition of the series with this excellent house-infused offering.

One of Dublin’s hottest prospects within house music, Max Dufficy, takes charge of this week’s Local Selection. He has found himself as a regular amongst some of the city’s most esteemed house parties such as Omni, Real Talks Art, and Resound.

Maxs’ journey through electronic music has resulted in him sharing the stage with some of the genre’s leading artists like Chris Stussy, Rossi and Julian Anthony as well as Sorley, Madvilla and Robbie Doherty. His deep-rooted passion for music saw him recently conclude a 2-year stint with Phever Radio while starting a brand new show on the renowned Bloop London where Max will continue to showcase his ever-evolving musical taste.

Delving deep into his vast musical library, this mix features tracks from the likes of Luke Dean, Josh Baker and Locklead and has been designed to resonate with Ireland’s vibrant rave scene which acts as an exhilarating journey from start to finish.

Four Four Premiere: Hyyken - Quema Quema [Reboot Records]

Dublin-based techno selector JenTen takes on the 239th Local Selection Mix. The emerging DJ takes us on a journey through tribal and elastic rhythms, weaving in and out of polished 90s-leaning cuts and expertly propelling the momentum forward with each mix.

JenTen has been steadily rising within the Irish techno scene as of late. Establishing herself playing across Dublin at various parties from The Midnight Disco, Puzzy Wranglers, The Lounge and more alongside making her festival debut at Otherside.

Now dividing her time between Berlin and Dublin, the hypnotically focused DJ has been refining her sound, which is rooted in a more minimal approach to techno. JenTen’s sound is embedded in the traditionalist style of techno while also staying forward-facing. Her careful selection of tracks and long blends perfectly match this minimalistic aesthetic.

JenTen’s entry for the Local Selection Mix Series sees her delve down a deep and hypnotic tunnel. She skillfully uses vast soundscapes and pulsating basslines to create a somewhat disorientated journey through monochromatic sounds. With a constant desire for movement, she skillfully blends atmospheric and introspective sections with churning minimal cuts. This is dedicated to the smokier corners of the dancefloor.
