We’re kicking off our mix-series with one of our Thêm residents, Millhouse.

Millhouse has been a prominent figure in the Hanoi underground scene for a few years now and recently started Thêm collective with the rest of the gang. If you haven’t seen him play at events around Vietnam, you might have caught him at Moving Parts in Manila or Wonderfruit Festival in Pattaya.

From this mix you can expect hypnotic acid basslines, floaty melodies and dreamy transitions that take you on a cosmic adventure across sound and space 🪐

Thêmplate #001: Millhouse

The second mix of our series is a live recording of Hocking’s set at Likdo festival in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. 

Hailing from the UK, Hocking’s passion for electronic music was ignited whilst at Birmingham University when he used to spin CDs at Rainbow Warehouse 👴🏼 since then he has brought his sound to clubs and events across Vietnam and will be closing the garden stage at Equation festival next week 🎪✨

Let Hocking’s trademark blend of energetic house and electro transport you to the festival dancefloor.

We’re welcoming Yas Emmah for our third Thêmplate mix. While she’s a newcomer on the underground music scene, she’s a familiar face to Thêm and has played at some of our HUM rooftop parties 🫂

She fell in love with electronic music on Hanoi’s pulsating dancefloors, and took the step into DJ’ing when a friend recognised her potential and taught her the basics. 

Yas Emmah sustains a high energy throughout this mix with plenty of rythmic basslines, pops of acid and exciting melodies 🚀

Next up in the Thêm mix series is our very own George Adore. 

You’ll find big “hazy summer night” energy on this one. 

Imagine: you only went out for a couple of quiet drinks in the sun and you’ve been trying to drag yourself away from the club for hours. But your friends are glowing and the tunes keep rolling. You don’t have work tomorrow, so you get another G&T and squeeze past the warm bodies, back onto the dancefloor…

Ryokei served non-stop energy on and off the dance floor when he played for our Thêm night at Savage in June and so we couldn't wait to able to share the live recording with you. 

The Tokyo based DJ is well-known for his unique sound which he brings to his sets across Asia and to his own productions which he releases through his labels, How High and Alien Sex Friends (ASF) Recs.

On the night, Ryokei entranced dancers in the red cube with a succession of catchy rhythms, punchy basslines and a sprinkling of acid. We’re super happy to share this live recording of his all-vinyl mix to relive the magic of the night with you 🛸👽

We are delighted to add Observatory resident and all-round wonderful human YOKOSUN to our mix series!

Originally from Japan and now based in Saigon, YOKOSUN focuses on gathering people together to embrace and celebrate the vibrant energy that life offers. 

“The mix is a live recording, taken between 5-6am on the terrace at The Observatory. The transition from dark to sunrise is the time I like the most. I can still clearly remember the beautiful smiles I could see from the decks and how much I enjoyed the moment. This mix is expressing my joy of playing music and freedom. This is not a cool / beautiful mix. This is a very funny and happy mix, reflecting my own mood that morning!”

Thêmplate #006: YOKOSUN @ The Observatory

Whom the Philippines' professional world knows as lawyer Jeric Lim, Manila’s local nightlife and music scene has known him longer as “Limsum.”  Since his beginnings as a DJ in 2015, he has commandeered the decks of some of the city’s best clubs and parties to deliver electric sets that avid partygoers won’t forget.

For this one, he's gone in a different direction and provided us a treat for those early morning ambient sessions.

Our next installment of Thêmplate is a live recording from an iconic closing set of the Garden Stage at Equation festival in April. 

If you were lucky enough to be at Equation this year, you will have had the pleasure of experiencing this set first-hand. Either way, you can now tune in and take yourself to that very moment, surrounded by mountains and fellow dancers in the Vietnamese countryside.

Our next mix is from just across the pond by Manila based DJ - Junoy Manalo, whose sets are known to perfectly blend house, disco and funk, and this mix does just that. 
Spend the next 40 minutes listening to melodies threaded with soulful vocals and pops of percussion 🪩💙

Thêmplate #009: Junoy Manalo

Our next mix in the series comes from one of our own, on a special night, in a place that feelz like home.  Filled with his signature bounce and verve, we present a live recording of Feelz closing the Savage Red Cube for its infamous queer night - Snug.

With little time to take breath and even less to let your body rest, the Manchester-born DJ takes us through the early hours of the night with rolling tech-house, breaks and infectious cuts. The party is far from over as Feelz ends the night in style.

Up next we are showcasing the full 2-hour recording from K-Sang's closing set in the cube - Savage, last month. On what was one of the busiest nights we've ever seen at Savage for the Peach Anniversary, K-Sang intelligently moved between electro, house and techno, shifting between different moods and energies right through to closing. It’s as deep and moody as it is light and playful, so buckle up and prepare to be transported to one of our favourite clubrooms on the planet.

For Savage’s 9th birthday, Millhouse stepped into a packed Anteroom for what may be the last time. This two-hour set bottles the spirit of a room that has seen countless late-night grins, questionable dance moves, and special memories for the Thêm resident. His signature blend of house and electro is out in full force - bouncy, bright, with some surprises thrown in.

Here’s to nine years, one unforgettable room, and one very emotional goodbye.
