Swooping from the skies of Berlin, Kaldera lands with beauty and birdsong. An avian inspired quartet glides through the cool sonic waves of “Eissturmvogel”. From the smooth “Mauersegler”, melodies shimmer on the wind with vibrato delays that fly through delicate aerodynamic shape. Subtle sequences are heard over counterpoint melodies that soar skywards in clear Arctic skies. The “Turmfalke” appears overhead with the heavy beat of powerful wings and natural elegance. Bassline dominates as an apex-predator hovers in the sky before climbing melodies rise in thermal spirals across a varied rhythmic landscape. The distinctive “Nachtigall” emerges with beautiful song translated into rich analogue synthesis where cascading patterns criss-cross the stereo spectrum with poise and grace to capture nature’s call.

The “Eissturmvogel” re-emerges, reimagined from the foothills of the Sierras Chicas where Analog Jungs provides a new force. Melodies rise and fall in majestic patterns as rapid-fire percussion eases in cold mountain air. Familiar refrains mark a new territory before returning to the Northern Hemisphere where Eric Rose begins a new sonic voyage.
