A collection of parody songs about Christmas traditionally played by The Mad Drummer once during the season.  Starting in 1971 with 3 short recordings and a live scripted take off on "Freedom Talk" from Dallas Tx., The Christmas Special grew to over an hour long production in 1976 as WRKC staff and friends contributed skits and songs.
Local bands played their own renditions of some songs at their gigs. 
The MDCS became a backdrop for years when the station had a Christmas Party/Staff Reunion allowing celebration time off air while it played.  It resides on Soundcloud to allow downloads for former staff and faithful fans - who gave it life.

The very existence of The MAD Drummer's Christmas Special is owed to the staff and listeners of WRKC - Wilkes Barre FM.  Without a doubt it is a humbling experience to find out that listeners have taped what was broadcast and selflessly offer to bring in a copy for you to rerecord 'cause you misplaced the master! Through the years 1971 to 1976 inspired staff members jumped under or over the tree leaving the goodies they produced. Magic reigned.
I have made every attempt to restore what could be salvaged and hope you find it worth your time.
