“snake dance” is inspired by the lived experience as an embodied feminine in relationship to her experience with the masculine in the down & dirty duality of 3D. 

in this dance as old as time, the masculine is initiated by the feminine and in turn she is inspired & supported to embody the most full spectrum expression of herSelf. in her power she lifts up other women and holds safe space for the masculine to open his heart and muses him to embrace differentiation…

where entropy brings chaos, syntropy creates order.

is the prayer i channeled through my latest maMA bird curation, amplified live at the NYE weekend event TOGETHER @thedenportland 🦚 

first, i must name the horror, hardships, and heaviness in the world at large.

second, i must name gratitude. 
gratitude that does not downplay or  minimize the real life catastrophes & atrocities being experienced currently by many—both immediately & peripherally. 

while honoring beings affected by ongoings of the unfathomable,
i also choose to honor:

the frequency of GRATITUDE for 
feeling safe in my body, 
feeling safe in the land where i inhabit,
feeling safe 
in places where we gather together.

may we hone our prayer for the safety of all beings through the dance of gratitude. 

may we spread our toes and legs out like sturdy roots and feel the entangledness & support of relationship. 

may we lift our arms & reach our hands as extensions of the heart to add beauty & bring our gifts & services to the beings we encounter.

"how to train a dragon" is inspired by the wood dragon Chinese/Lunar New Year energies.

the wood dragon is unique as far as dragons go, because wood represents the energy of spring/renewal/child-like newness. this wood dragon stomps, plays, dances their rainbow body into the through the world & beyond, discovering boundaries & wisdom through direct experience. the energy can be impulsive, clumsy, and destructive in a way that is not malevolent. the mother of wood is water, so self-reflection can support conscious self-possession/sovereignty/liberation for the benefit of all.

everything i learned about wood dragon energies, i learned from Gregory David Done of Tigers Play Astrology & Chinese Medicine. His blog post is a helpful read for navigating the energies at large in 2024 [link below].

The Yáng Wood Dragon is called the “Laughing Dragon,” for Yáng Wood represents impulsivity, birth, youth, spontaneity, playfulness, innocence, flexibility, humility, gentleness, and creativity.  It is the baby dragon, hatching from the primordial egg.  

Yáng Wood is the energy of the chick breaking through the shell, the sprout bursting out of the seed.

The baby Dragon must break its shell to fly into space.  It flies to discover its own edges, its own limitations, its own boundaries. 

Dragon Qì is a paradox that cannot be defined other than to say it has unlimited creative potential.

Dragon Characters infinite potential is meaningless without a path. Above all, Dragons need training; and they must follow their own way and never be controlled.
