An artist who has been pulling up sizeable trees over the past 18 months, Hobin Rude is a welcome addition to the Proton Music roster with his "Found Myself" EP. Based in the Belgrade capital, the Serbian star has over 300 production credits to his name since a June 202 debut, with the likes of Roger Martinez's HIGHER STATES, Praveen Achary's Juicebox Music and Mango's Mango Alley amongst them. Now debuting on Proton Music, the title track is a superbly conceived affair with low-slung percussive groove, deep kick and cadenced bassline. As it evolves, a pitched down vocal cut eerily declares, "Found Myself" while a smooth and flowing lead line adds to the sonic tension inherent within. Pausing at the breakdown and dropping away to momentarily silence, the track soon falls back into the familiar refrains of earlier movements. "Awake Between Worlds" immediately excites with its rapid fire, off-beat hats and thumping kick while atmospheric pads wash over the rhythmic backdrop in textured waves. Haunting and evocative in equal measures, free-flowing chord progressions play out, keenly felt at the beatless but gently pulsing breakdown. Hitting the heights once more in the third movement, familiar rhythms come to the fore as a juxtaposed bass pattern sits underneath the smoothly oscillating pads.

A Proton Music regular, Dmitry Molosh has been at the vanguard of modern Progressive House for some 15 years and 700 production credits. Able to shine a powerful light on his inimitable talent through a host of original releases and remixes, the "Little Friend", "Winds of Change", "River Pond" and "Station" EPs have been notable additions to the Proton Music catalogue. Moreover, remixes for such celebrated names as Kastis Torrau, Trilucid and Paul Deep have showcased another side to the Belarusian's production talents, as Dmitry now works his magic on "Awake Between Worlds". Picking up the pace slightly compared to the original, a sublime sustained bassline creates dynamic dancefloor energy. Cleverly interpreting themes from Hobin Rude's track, Dmitry has shaped the coruscating pads into a series of melodic sequences that sit superbly alongside a rippling arpeggio at the breakdown. Hitting its straps in the second half, courtesy of a stirring snare roll, a growling bassline note delays into the distance as the arp and earlier melodic phrases make their presence felt again with a glorious new additional melody. The result is yet another hugely impressive remix from the Dmitry Molosh production vault.

With trademark style and verve, James Monro has been a significant contributor to Proton Music with a veritable feast of Progressive House since a 2013 debut remixing Juan Deminicis. Since then, the "Sanctuary" series has enjoyed 3 volumes while "In the Ether" represented a high watermark in August 2017 with a full-length album that exuded quality from start to finish. Remixes for the likes of Clawz SG, Desaturate and Rick Pier O'Neil are also among a slew of striking interpretations that have additionally helped shape the James Monro sound. Finding his way back to the label for the first time in 2 years, the James Monro remix is a pounding, rhythmic affair that captures the essence of "Awake Between Worlds" but transforms it into a sparkling new interpretation by intelligent use of original components and immaculately conceived additional production material from James' Brazilian studio. The result is a driving and pulsating remix that turns Hobin Rude's work in hypnotic dancefloor destroyer.

A superb debut EP creates an environment where Hobin Rude has truly "Found Myself" on Proton Music.

Already on the radar of global tastemakers, this remix announces Benedetti as one of South America’s most intriguing progressive voices.

The Munich-based label led by Guy Mantzur unveils its 131st release, marking an exciting collaboration between two producers from different corners of the globe.
Mind Echoes makes his debut on Plattenbank Records, while STEREO MUNK, who has previously released on the label in partnership with Dublew and Eichenbaum, returns for this special occasion. However, this marks the first time the collaboration between Mind Echoes and STEREO MUNK has taken place on this prestigious Munich-based label.
Their two-track release is worth every second of listening time, offering over 15 minutes of pure, intense, uncompromising music, devoid of pandering aesthetics, but deserving of full attention and respect. The opening piece, Field of Steel, presents a sophisticated arrangement that sustains a hypnotic atmosphere of unpredictability throughout. The production focuses on psychedelic elements and vocal samples that maintain tension throughout the 8-minute ride.
In the centerpiece, an infectious melodic line supported by rhythmic crescendos leads not only to a climax in musical arrangement and production but also represents a spiritual peak of the piece. Equally captivating is the second track, New Sights, which builds upon crystal-clear percussive elements meticulously processed using state-of-the-art studio techniques, resulting in superior sound treatment. Yet, the technical aspect is just one facet of this masterfully executed anthem that blends melody, energy, psychedelia, and innovation into a mix deserving of every accolade.

Coming up next from Cydana Sounds is another team-up for label owner Cendryma! This time, he joins forces with Mexican DJ and producer MUUK, for a dark and moody triple threat that is sure to catch the ear of many fans of the dark and the underground. Opener Outside the Program is a tougher edged affair, driven by atmospheric vocal stabs, deep basslines and a whole lotta mood! The track builds the excitement through a driving groove that fades away until theres only a deep bassline left, creative a transition into the main drop of the tune that is filled with layers upon layers of atmosphere! Up next, we have a tune even darker than the opener, Artificial Mind. Subtle high frequencies cymbals and top loops make the energy unstoppable. An extended breakdown that filters down into the subterranean, filtered bassline releases the tension with a clean drum fill that re-introduces the track at its peak where once again, filtered and reverb-drenched vocal stabs are revealed. The tracks ends just as it began, filtering out the groove and leave just the drums. A perfect tune for those dark, moody nights! Finally, to close the EP is a thunderous affair, G-Force. Having awoken the beast of Cendrymas darkness, MUUKs final collaboration on the EP with the American is truly the perfect closer. Atmospheric, energetic, dark and even a little uplifting. Meditative and contemplative – words tumble and cascade in illuminating layers as the soft light of SolarSolar radiates from the streets of downtown Toronto. An elegant sonic palette, rich in warm neon glow reflects muted chord progressions that build in intensity to ask a simple question: "Why do I?" Sonic layers stratify in cloud formations high above the Ontario cityscape, warm pads provide a canopy of sound to envelop phrases that catch on the night breeze.

The raw emotion of Franz Alice Stern floods through the streets of Berlin. Rasping bassline authority pulses across a new sonic soundscape where life is to be lived in glorious and vivid technicolour; no rehearsal and no filter in a city that sprawls outwards, lights twinkling in a spider's web of connected streets. Rhythm and melody combine with haunting vocal to create a cool new history. Twin towers emerge from the sultry air of Malaysian skies, Westseven looks down from dizzying heights onto a Kuala Lumpur cityscape that never sleeps. Throbbing bass and thumping kick mirror the heartbeat of the city below. Vocals trip lightly atop the breeze on a hot and humid tropical night.

Pure silk flows through the SineRider sonic identity; aural chemistry offers a riot of colour from New England skylines. An explosion of sound erupts in a dazzling sonic firework display as a wall of sound teams down in golden glow through held chords and pitched vocal phrasing. Rippling pianos hypnotise in spinning circular Catherine Wheels, a galaxy of stars reveal themselves in a velvety backdrop.

One and once the same, or so it seems; infinity reflects a spinning figure of eight, "why do I?"
