"ICONYC is delighted to welcome German maestro Rauschhaus with his brand-new 'Visionary EP' to the label. The talented German producer has been a well-known entity within the scene and has graced some of the world's finest electronic music labels with his unique and lasting productions. Moritz, aka Rauschhaus who hails from northern Germany, Kiel to be precise, developed a unique style of music, full of ambiances, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided him to where he is to today and embodies the sound he now personifies. People regularly equate his productions as opaque and vivid in equal measures. 
 
On his debut Rauschhaus leads with the outstanding opening track 'Epiphyse'; a stunning driving melodic progressive house affair. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture and create an ingeniously worked piece of art.

The melodic soundscapes of the accompanying title track 'Visionary' round of this spectacular release. Moritz's influences are immediately evident as subtle freeform concepts drift through percussive inspired instrumentations. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, accompanied by a subtle chord line that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception. Stunningly textured pads that warm the soul and a strong melodic infused bassline provide the base for this inspired piece to play out in delayed glory. Essential stuff!

Rauschhaus has developed a unique style which endeared him to us; having establishing his credentials as a master of his craft. With his debut outing on ICONYC, Moritz takes his talents a step further to round off this brilliant underground 2 track crowd pleaser. Last but not least we have ‚who needs money, I like sleeping next to you', which has got a special blend of a very driving bassline, spheric sounds and some trancy leads. A debut representing Mango Alley's annual homage to Amsterdam, Lucas Grain returns to fill the spaces "Between Us". Rapid-fire melodies bounce off clean marble surfaces in bright reflections of metronomic power alongside the constant ticking of brittle hi-hats. A juxtaposition of eerie vocal treatment strikes a chord somewhere between beauty and sadness.

A synthesis of Finnish innovation and familiarity sees Movement Machina return. Throbbing bass intent highlights vocal phrasing in a jumble of effected treatments where the sonic space lights up in glorious originality and infinitely pitched percussion. Spanish flair rises from the sound of Integral Bread – common refrains from between us radiating a pulsating evolution of sound in acetylene-torch lead and vocal contrast. Innovation highlights a new rhythmic pattern of spellbinding beauty and resonance.

Ice cold German brilliance shines a new light between us in techno machinations. Tantum redefines the techno landscape with a kaleidoscope of rippling energy that charges the space with each passing movement. Vocal pitching goes with the grain to reflect previous passions.

Iranian producer Arash Shadram joins forces with Sophijan to deliver one of the key tracks of the year “Troubled Sleep” that promises a night of insomnia and intensity! A dooming and gloomy hook pushed further by an uncompromising beat and frantic arpeggiators are a guaranteed banger for the dance floors. 
Dark already in the name “The Reprieve” shows little aspects of mercy but yet delivers a gloomy atmosphere with pushing beats and energetic breaks. The melody is powerful and memorable alike. 
The most melodic track of this release comes with “Transcendence”. Melodic Techno at it's finest with an epic hook, yearning synths and releasing breaks.

'The latest release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Simos Tagias back to the label for a new EP entitled 'Molecular'. The Greek artist has become a mainstay of the label roster with this being his eleventh appearance. As one of the most recognized names in progressive house, the Athens resident has showcased his music on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Cid Inc's Replug Records, Beatfreak Recordings and Sound Avenue. 2020 has once again been a fruitful year for Simos, already notching releases on Proton Music and UV. Now fresh off a remix for Clubsonica Records, Simos makes a welcome return to Movement Recordings with a three-track artist showcase.

Beginning with the title selection Simos explores his progressive roots with a warm, groovy creation that's sure to get your dance floor moving. Waves of undulating bass power the foundation while clattering percussion and cosmic effects surround the framework. Racing towards the main break, electric rhythms and luminous themes steal the air, perfectly setting up a tense centrepiece and exhilarating finale.

'Running Over Me' follows with a further lean towards astral techno territory. Rugged and rhythmic in all the right ways, fiery percussion and spaced out tones descend over the rippling foundation, as an indie-inspired vocal drops in for a magic moment. Expanding across a one-minute centrepiece, the vocal sits at the emotional core of the track, elevating mood before eventually getting washed away in a trail of astral sonics and punishing beats.

Rounding out the release is 'The Shamen' which finds Simos exploring another unique amalgamation of progressive house and techno.  Backed by a buoyant and well contoured groove, it's bounce and drive quickly become infectious. Billowing stabs and trailing effects offset each other nicely, as romping rhythms build momentum across the first act. Vocal fragments strike at opportune moments, adding additional depth as layers of sonic artefacts saturate your senses during a dramatic final movement. It rounds out a superb return to Movement Recordings for Simos Tagias, who is most certainly operating at a creative peak here.'
