Returning to the European electronic music capital once more for its annual gathering, Mango Alley celebrates another Amsterdam Dance Event with the 8th incarnation of its exclusive compilation. A creative aesthetic blossoms in a city renowned for its artistic heritage where an intricate tapestry of art and music blends into a glorious collective assembly. From Grachtengordel to De Wallen and Prinsenelland to Jordaan, a global gathering of artists reunite and forge new friendships under dance music's all-inclusive banner.

Through 22 tracks of innovation and passion, a wonderful world of unity creates a dynamic point of view and a new golden age of art. Thumping beats and shimmering melodies bounce off cobbled streets and historic facades while a network of canals tell their own history in a city imbued with music old and new. Along the Damrak, a kaleidoscopic array or clubs vie for attention in a mesmerising display of sonic brilliance. Moving towards the stars and an inky black night sky, temporary feelings of tension and worry are unburdened in the Amsterdam nightlife, evaporating into the ether on the rising refrains of low-end vibrancy and rippling musical waves. Rising up and from somewhere else converged as one in Amsterdam.

The release concludes with Jero Nougues providing the third and final interpretation of ‘‘From Birgu To The Stars’. Hailing from Argentina, Jero first emerged over a decade ago on the strength of releases via Balkan Connection’s Tech division, PHW Elements and Ready Mix Records. The Buenos Aires resident would continue to refine his sound across the next 10 years, developing a groovy take on traditional progressive house and in turn finding a home on Deepwibe Underground, Droid9 and The Soundgarden, while earring support from progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now, adding RKP to his resume, Jero rounds out the release with a stunning version of ‘‘From Birgu To The Stars’. Bringing a progressive state of mind, Jero carefully balances the emotion of the original with his own melodic groove-centric sound. Reprocessed vocal elements and vibrant musical clusters steal the air atop punchy beats and rolling grooves, while a tense and cosmically correct break adds just the right amount of tension for the ultimate build and thunderous finale.

The golden age of the underground lost and found within an industry icon. Kharkhiv and Karlsruhe joined together by a single thread finds musical cross-pollination via Tantum and Arude. Grown out of storming bassline groove, smooth melodies blossom as delayed arpeggios echo through the trees.

A returning legend, Rauschhaus once again showcases a powerful performance with gentle touch and skill. Fresh melodies emerge from the branches of the "Orchard" to create a delicious aural flavour that shimmers with glissando freedom, while detailed layers expose perfectly formed harmonic phrases that create a sumptuous dancefloor accent.
