An artist with over 10 years experience in the world of electronic music, Paul Deep has been a stalwart of the progressive house scene. A regular on the likes of Clubsonica, Sound Avenue and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, supported by Guy J, Nick Warren and Lee Burridge, the Argentinean artist hit the Proton Music headlines in September 2022 with his beautifully developed "Orchid" EP. Now returning to the label with another original offering, "Odyssey" is a typically deep and contemplative affair with a cavernous sub-bass groove sitting below a rippling percussive stream. Wending its way across an 8-minute journey, myriad textures and effects pave the way for a subtle melodic motif to evolve easily, complemented by a beautiful piano and keys sequence at the breakdown redolent in evocative splendour. Returning to the deep rhythmic roots of earlier phases in the second half, "Odyssey" is another majestic Paul Deep musical sculpture.

An artist requiring no introduction to the Proton Music faithful with such memorable releases as "Little Friend", "River Pond" and "Station", Dmitry Molosh is an artist who has continued to ride the crest of a production wave for over 15-years and some 650 credits. Consequently, the Belarusian has seen his music feature on some of underground dance's most esteemed labels including Replug, Sudbeat, Plattenbank and his own Proportion. Now returning to remix on Proton for the first time since 2020, the Dmitry Molosh interpretation is a spellbinding affair that continues the strong rhythmic flair of "Odyssey" before developing a new bassline groove and melodic counterpoint. Further extending the themes laid out in Paul Deep's original, Dmitry's skill is to create a scintillating progressive gem that sparkles at a sunlit breakdown with evocative melodic passion. Dropping back into the generous percussive backdrop in the second half, the Dmitry Molosh remix is a joy to behold.

A second remix sees, Zankee Gulati return to the Proton fold. A regular on Particles, not least through his 2018 "Breathe" EP, the Sydney-based star has found himself at the forefront of the modern progressive house scene with a string of releases on a host of elite labels that include the likes of Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, John Digweed's Bedrock and GMJ & Matter's Meanwhile / Meanwhile Horizons. Indeed, it was at the annual Amsterdam Dance Event festival in October 2023 that saw the Australian perform at the duo's sold-out Meanwhile showcase. As comfortable standing behind the decks as he is sitting in the studio, a single remix of Rick Pier O'Neil's "Imperial" in late 2022 is now joined by a second as Zankee Gulati transforms "Odyssey" into a broody rhythmic gem. Developing easily over its duration, echoes of the original float through its 8-minutes with familiar melodic refrains and atmospheric pads. Full of additional production material, complex textures, white-noise effect and muted arpeggio, they combine to create a deliciously rich and full-flavoured sound that resonates fully in the second half.

For our next Zero Tolerance release we head to Argentina with two new remixes from of Jamie Stevens' Black Ruby EP courtesy of Analog Jungs and EANP.

Analog Jungs provide an inspired journey with their remix of "Path of None". Their contribution is moody and percussive, injecting a tribal undertone reminiscent of the halcyon era which is both haunting and devastatingly driving.

EANP’s craftmanship is on full display with their remix of “Black Ruby Of Voldesad”. The duo provides a deep voyage into the depths of groove, expanding on the nuance’s of the original’s drum programming that harnesses hypnotic energy.

Originally released in September of 2023, "PROGPOGANDA" showcased Auseeb & Rabiee Ahmad as rising artists of the progressive house genre. Now, COMET Records revisits the track with two outstanding new remixes by GORKIZ & BRICCIO and NISHAN LEE.

Brazilian producers and managers at Transensations Records and For Senses Records, Gorkiz & Briccio presents a remix that retains a similar rhythmic poise to the original as a familiar bass pattern blends with a squeaking, bleeping effects layer, a new ambience and rolling groove creates an impressive reworking full of dynamism and brio. A rising star in the progressive firmament since early work in 2014, Nishan Lee has hit considerable heights with his music on Juicebox Music, Mango Alley and Perfecto Records, the Sri Lanka artist brings an innovative take on "Progpoganda", replete with rolling groove and deep bassline presence, a more stripped back offering allows the central motif from the original a chance to flourish within a new cadenced structure, boosting up the track's energy to the top, creating the perfect jam for special moments on the dancefloor.

'Time / Vagabund' is the new two-original-track EP by the Argentinian new duo UNDERMOVE @undermove-musik (Kebin van Reeken @kebinvanreeken-1 + Topo Larocca @topolarocca ). These two artists have a long solo experience as DJ and producers, but have decided start to make music together, using all their skills and talent. This EP is the first release as UNDERMOVE, and its a good prove of the perfect symbiosis that they have to make progressive house music. Solid beats, strong and heavy basses, melodic and hypnotic elements, and resources taken from Techno and House club music

An artist with a growing Meanwhile history, Mike Rish returns to the label with a 3rd original EP, this time with the “Akhnaton / Gröv / Cloudbreaker” triple-tracker.

A story that began in late-2021, Mike Rish and his “Beyond” EP ignited a spark that would go on to burn brightly amongst a galaxy of stars on GMJ & Matter’s flagship imprint. Already a regular on such celebrated labels as Kasey Taylor’s Vapour Recordings, Praveen Achary’s Juicebox Music and Guy J’s Lost & Found, the Australian artist has continued to see his distinctive and mature production sound much sought after.

Now returning to Meanwhile for the first time since June 2023’s “GT / Shoreditch Funk / Reka”, “Akhnaton” is inspired by the Amsterdam club of the same name and host of Meanwhile’s debut label showcase at ADE 2023. Full of trademark character, the track is a pounding club floor-filler with white-noise back drop and chugging bassline intent. Full of mesmeric soundscapes, and cascading delays, the track builds in power as subtle melodies are introduced amongst the immaculately placed pauses that help ramp up the intensity. The result is a masterful affair.

Continuing the hefty rhythmic narrative, familiar tropes percolate around “Gröv” like a fine wine. Under a huge, throbbing backdrop of seismic beat and cavernous bass pattern, spine-tingling melodies float across the mid-range before coming to the fore at the extended breakdown. Adding to the sonic collage with a hypnotising off-beat chord motif, the track then drops back into the familiar form of earlier phases as it draws to its conclusion.

The final offering sees “Cloudbreaker” continue to push the sonic envelope with the immaculately crafted bassline extravaganza. Full of percussive intent with shaker-fuelled top-line, a richly syncopated melody captures dancefloor attention, held through a sustained bass phrase at the breakdown. Hitting its straps again in the third movement, the gargantuan groove and luscious melodic interplay break through in a stormfront of club vibrancy and brio.

A force to be reckoned with via another EP chock-full of skill, technique and craftsmanship, Mike Rish excels once more via his “Ahknaton / Gröv / Cloudbreaker” EP.
