Ludmila (Utrecht,
NL). Heavily influenced by dub music, Luna has a fondness for stripped-down
house and techno grooves - with a focus on rhythm and bass. Luna has been
focussing on developing her composition techniques in the past years, which
resulted in different releases on labels such as Irenic, Berg Audio, SoHaSo
and Stately. Over the past decade, she gained experience as a DJ, with gigs
at venues like Shelter and BRET in Amsterdam and in cities abroad like
Berlin, Zurich and Bucharest.

Steering us into a hypnotic, deep techno state, Placid peppers the mix with elements of rave, electro, breaks and house with the subtle dexterity of a true master. Blending tracks from Marco M Berndt, Roman Flügel, Dircsen, Luke Vibert, Donato Dozzy & DJ Say, Afx, Estroe, Priori and more we get a mix from true clubland maestro at the peak of his powers.

Since 1990, Paul Wise aka Placid legendary for his sets of purest 303-drenched acid, has been spinning at house parties, clubs and festivals across the UK and further afield. Resident at the longest running and best acid house night I Love Acid, you can catch him playing at Were Going Deep parties in his hometown of Bristol and as part of Depth Perception (a collective of music obsessives playing deep electronic music across multiple genres). Placid's gigging biography has taken him to Detroit, New York, Berlin, France, Spain, Belgium and Holland as well as the Glastonbury and BLOC music festivals. 

Reputed to be the owner of one of the world's most encompassing collections of Acid House, Placid is a walking acid-house encyclopaedia who can always be trusted to dig deep into his records crate to bring you a pure vinyl set of the absolute best of Acid House, Detroit Techno, Deep House, Electro and Chicago House. He currently has a 15k strong group dedicated to the deeper sounds on facebook as Were Going Deep and his label of the same name just recently dropped their 11th release.

Sometimes there is a sound that lifts you so high you can’t possibly come down. It’s the kind of sound that many strive for, but few can ever reach. UK mainstay Aubrey has been hitting this pinnacle for years through his releases on renowned imprints such as Metroplex, Ostgut Ton, and Skudge, as well as his very own Solid Groove Records. “The Reflection” EP comes as no exception. As only a DJ and Producer of his stature can do, Aubrey goes above and beyond to take the listener through a spectrum of moods that culminate in a rounded and complex experience. From the uplifting, fast paced pads in “Peligro 45” to the disorienting rhythmic voodoo of “Roger Doger” and peak energy drive of “Train To The Fire” there is a sense of direction and otherworldly ambiance that will take any dance floor to the place it needs to be.

DJ Shadow, widely acknowledged as a crucial figure in the development of experimental, instrumental hip-hop, has returned with ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ via Mass Appeal Records [and Believe Digital in France], his first full length release since 2011. The 12-track album finds DJ Shadow exploring new realms in addition to the deep samples and kinetic soundscapes that helped to launch his career 20 years ago. On ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ he’s shifted further toward original composition, a vast experimentation of beats and textures, synthesizers and live instruments including horns and woodwinds. We've been tight with Peckham collective and record label Rhythm Section for a long time now, and catching wind of a new release is always a very big deal. Aukland-born and Peckham-based duo Chaos in the CBD have been on our radar for a minute. You'll probably know these two as the hands behind their seminal debut Midnight in Peckham, released last year. Their new release, Invisible Spectrum, doesn't disappoint. Our favourite of the tracks, "Significant Others" brings the EP to its peak with heavy jazz influences, a bongo beat and serious dance capabilities. Get ready to be wrapped up in the kind of groove that makes you forget all the bad stuff.

Hello and welcome to another episode of the WARPED podcast, this is mix 84 with a hero from Berlin, Marc Schneider. Every time i visited this awesome city i invariably would catch Marc playing some where and every single time he would drop a killer set. From playing in like weird work shop wear houses to proper clubs he has seen it all. Finally earlier this year when i played at Griessmühle i got the opportunity to play before him. Top guy with some top skills, i seized the moment and asked him if he would have the time to make a set for us. Boom :)
Top 1.25 hours of music from start to finish. A lot of acidy vibes and groovy bass lines all thru. Turn it up and you will know why i think this guy is jus brilliant. Enjoy
